Re: Help- Big dog problems

I respect your need to protect your cattle, but please bear in mind that shooting someone's dog is a HUGE deal. I hope that you have exhausted EVERY other option before turning to this. It's a real shame to see a dog pay the ultimate price for an owner's lack of responsibility.

Re: 2008 whitetail season with 204!

I live in Southwest Missouri, but I hunt on a farm about half an hour from Boonville.

Re: RIP Maggie

Dan,

So sorry to hear about Mags. Dogs are truly special members of our families, and it's never easy to say goodbye to them. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Which part of Missouri do you hunt in?

I hunt in the north-central part of the state and I can buy as many doe tags as I want. I'm limited to one "any deer" tag, but does are unlimited.

Browning Citori 525 Sporting

Posting this for a very good friend. I have personally handled and fired this shotgun and can attest to its condition and the reputation of the seller. If interested, PM me and I will put you directly in touch with seller. I also have several pictures of the gun that I can email to anyone who is int...

Re: Savage has some interesting rifles in the pipeline...

I'm not sure when the '09 models will hit dealers, but I'm looking forward to seeing some of these new rifles in person. A friend just ordered an LRPV in 6mm BR. I can't wait to spend a little time with that gun to see what it can do on paper and in the prairie dog fields.

Savage has some interesting rifles in the pipeline...

I was looking at some of the new rifles that Savage will have for '09 and really like what I see. In particular, the Model 12 Benchrest and the new dual port actions on it and the LRPV series. A Model 12 Benchrest with 6mm BR and 6.5 x 284 barrels would be quite the compliment to a .204 in a prairie...

Re: Ultimate 243 varmint/predator rifle.

No one suggested a Cooper?? And before the thread derails, I'm aware of the deal with Dan Cooper and Obama... In my opinion, you can't buy a better combination of accuracy and aesthetics than a Cooper for under $2k. Now that there's a repeater in the lineup, you have all of the flexibility that you ...

I'm able to stay logged on each time I return to the forum. Like Rick, I remember when there was a glitch and I had to log in with each visit and I definitely feel your pain. I hope that a speedy resolution can be found for you.

Re: Paying to shoot prairie dogs

varmitslayer, Dave Z. makes a great point. In addition to that, I think that you'll have a very hard time turning a profit if you have to lease the shooting ground. I don't know where in Wyoming you are located, but when I went out there I never had a problem finding places to shoot. Perhaps other p...

Re: BR Pivot

(See...ya shoulda got one when I still had it! ;) ) Sure, sure...kick a guy while he's down. :) I'm still determined to find one of yours floating around. Someone's probably got a lightly used one collecting dust in a garage or attick that needs a new home. I'd be shocked if Midway/Caldwell complet...

BR Pivot

I noticed that Midway no longer lists its versions of the BR Pivot for sale. Have they dropped the bench, or are they just out of stock for a while?

Ok, you've got me completely confused. Are you looking for a place to hunt or selling your services? Each post seems to indicate something different than the last.
