Re: TC recall is a joke

I'm sorry to hear about the communication problems, but I feel like you might be a bit hasty launching an interned crusade against S&W at this point. There's no doubt S&W has dropped the ball on you, twice. With that said, I don't see any horrible grievance worthy of warning the firearms com...

Re: Confession

If Ruger fired a employee. I would bet money it was for more than just picking up a quarter, off someone else's desk, for a cup of coffee. I would like to know the full story and the whole truth to the matter, before I started boycotting a company and/or putting them down. I would just bet the empl...

Re: Cooper rifles

I have a Cooper in .204 and think it's the best over-the-counter rifle you can buy. With a Cooper, you know that you're going to get a beautiful rifle that handles and shoots very, very well. I have Leupold glass on mine and have been happy with it as well. The Varmint reticle is very nice in prairi...

Re: Super Bowl Counter-Snipers

Would think those binoculars would be better for spotting and scanning than that rifle scope....imagine the excrement in contact with the oscillating blades (shot hitting the fan) if he had an AD and killed someone.... I would have thought a trained marksman (sniper) would know better....its one th...

Re: recommend me a scope ?

Mag,

I think it would be quite helpful for you to give some details about the intended use of your .204 and the price range for your new scope.

Although not my cup of tea, it's nice to see something new and interesting from TC this year. I wish them much success.

Re: mods

Over here in the states, suppressors are a pretty rare sight in most places. In fact, I believe that some states even have restrictions about hunting with them? It's one of the few areas where America is actually lacking behind European countries with regard to firearms regulations. It seems that we...

Re: Lucas bore guide

Ian, do you have any friends or family state side? If so, I'd suggest ordering a Lucas guide and having it shipped to a person here, who can in turn ship it to you. I don't know how cost-effective that would be, but it would get you the bore guide. FWIW, I use Lucas bore guides exclusively and have ...

Re: 2012 Prairie dog adventures

Rick,

I've definitely considered the ground squirrels, but time will probably not allow for such a road trip with my shooting buddies. We're looking for something that's within about 900 miles of Springfield or St. Louis (closer is good, but better shooting is the top priority).

Thanks,
Mike

2012 Prairie dog adventures

I'm starting to look at options for this year and wonder where prairie dogs can be found in good numbers. I've been to WY, SD and KS in the past years, but it seems that my contacts in those areas aren't looking too great for the upcoming season. I don't expect anyone to hand out addresses or phone ...

Re: hunting in south dakota for 1st time

I hope so too Mike.My shooting partner has been using this guide for more than three years, and yes, they come and go.We will be mobile(shooting from Carts)and will be seperated half the time.I don't have many options on this shoot,so hope it works. We'll be shooting for more than a week. If you want ...

Re: hunting in south dakota for 1st time

Joe, one other thing to keep in mind with the local "guides" (can you tell I'm not a fan?) is that the law requires a guide to be with you at all times. Most of them will come and go throughout the day, but if you're caught without a guide present you can and will be fined. Your friend mig...
