Has anyone compared the Lyman Sonic Cleaner to a Tumbler to clean your brass? If so, what can you tell me about the difference?

Re: What accuracy can I expect with my 204 Ruger?
After reviewing the responses to my question, I did an extensive set of tests and the following gave me an accuracy of 0.020" center to center. (See the chart below) I started this set of test with the factory recommended bullet seating of C.O.L. = 2.260" which worked out to be a 0.165&quo...

Re: What accuracy can I expect with my 204 Ruger?
Rick: I took your advise and reloaded a series of new loads using multiple increments of powder. See the following image of the 8 targets and their results. I do hope you can see the text below each target which give the data for each group. Can you give me your assessment of these loads and where y...

Re: What accuracy can I expect with my 204 Ruger?
Rick: I thought about what you said about " First, fine The load the rifle likes, Then start dinking about with the seating depth ". So, where do I start with the seating depth? I was always under the impression that you should start seating the bullet about 0.010" off the rifling. Th...

What accuracy can I expect with my 204 Ruger?
I own a Savage 12FVC with a 26” barrel (1:12 twist). I have been working on fine tuning a load with the same bullet and powder and adjusting the amount of free bore (length to the lands from the ogive). As you will see from the chart, I have been able to get group sizes at just below 0.40” (0.38”) w...

Has any one used the Chrony Ballistics II software? This is the software that Shooting Chrony sells to work with their products. If so, what do you think of it?

Books on Precision Reloading for Accuracy
Are there any good books that you can recommend on precision reloading for accuracy?
I have been reloading for many years for big game and have most all the bullet manufacturing manuals and would like to get a little deeper into precision (accuracy) reloading and shooting.
Thanks

Re: RCBS comp. Seating Die marks bullets
I have not received the replacement plug for my Competition bullet seater die yet. In the meantime, I took the die apart and check the plug to see if I could see any burrs. It looked OK to the naked eye. So, I follow some of your ideas and used a 1/4" drill motor to chuck up a bullet. Then I ad...

Re: RCBS comp. Seating Die marks bullets
Thanks guys: I got a reply from RCBS that they will be sending me a new replacement plug for this Comp. bullet seater die. I also like the idea of relieving the area where the bullet tip might come in contact with the plug. I will let you know how it works once I get the replacement plug installed.

RCBS comp. Seating Die marks bullets
I just purchased a RCBS competition Seating die for my 204 Ruger (Part number 39438). After getting the die adjusted and examining some bullets, I noticed very small rings on the upper part of the bullet. I am assuming that is where the bullet meets the part of the die that holds the top of the bull...
