Re: 1st shoot, NOT so flat trajectory ?!
DPMS 24" BBL 1x12 twist, IMR 8208 Max charge, mix brass, Rem 7 1/2 primers and 35gr Berger. 100yd zero, 200yd is 3/4" low, 300yd is 8" low and 400yd is 18" low. Do not start at this load, it is a max charge per reloading manual. Hope this helps, good luck.

Re: New .204 Owner
Hi, welcome aboard. I also have a DPMS and the rifle shoots everything well. Even 45gr factory Hornady shot sub MOA at 100yds. I will say after a small amount of load development with IMR 8208, CFE, and 4895 my best load was a max charge of 8208, Rem 7 1/2 primers and 35gr Bergers. I use mix brass, ...

Re: NEED SOME HELP FOR A STOCK
Bell&Carlson Medalist. Just about a perfect drop in stock with a wide barrel channel and it is a full leighth aluminum bedding block. I bought one for my .243 SPS and it dropped right in. I even skim coated the bedding area with Dev-con. It's a great stock, many colors to choose from. I paid $22...

Re: IMR 8208
It is my go to powder in 204 and some of my 223 loads. I shoot a max load per the Hodgen load data with 35gr Bergers out of my DPMS and my Savage. I was lucky that the same load was sub .5 moa in both guns, if I really did my part. Never saw a real difference in pressure from winter to summer. As al...

Re: berger bullets for coyotes
I personally use the 35gr because they shoot just a little bit tighter in my DPMS AR. I would amagine that some 1x12 twist barrels may not stabilize the heavier bullet. Haven't had a runner yet with the 35.

Re: Coyote Loads
HSM makes factory 204 loads with Sierra, Berger, Cahoon and hornady bullets at a fair price. I also agree that the 35gr Bergers are where it's at for coyotes. I still want to try the 37gr from CRT also, they sound great. Good luck.

Re: Old powder
I to am sorry for your loss. I kinda have a similare story, last year I lost my uncle and inherited his reloading supplies. All his stuff was from 20+ years ago. I decided to load 223 with his old primers and a bunch of old H335 power. Haven't had any trouble at all, couple hundred rounds fired. I w...

Re: starting to reload .204 have a few ?'s
+1 on IMR 8208 powder. I use RCBS comp bullet seating die. Can't beat the window you drop the bullet in, saves you from pinching fat finger tips. I full length resize due to shooting an AR platform. Also I reload on the HOT side, Rem 7 1/2 primers work great for me. Good luck!

Re: Loads for Remington 700 SPS-V
35gr Berger and a stiff load of IMR 8208 powder. On a GOOD day it will shoot sub .5moa in my DPMS AR. It will always shoot around .75moa. 5 shot groups of coarse. I've had 2 Rem 700 sps varmints, great guns. About to buy one in 243. Good luck

Re: Want AR do I even bother trying to find something?
There are many great AR-15 builders out there, Les Baer, Wilson, LWRC that have something similar to what you are looking for. I just got done building a MK12 Mod 1 SPR. I bought a complete MK12 upper Assy. From www.HIGHCALIBERSALES.COM Awesome guys to work with. The MK12 is an 18" medium weigh...

Question about the new 1st edition Berger Manual??
I just received the new Berger reloading manual, man is it a thick book! My question is on load data for my favorite load, 35gr Berger with IMR 8208 powder. Hodgdon has a max load of 28.2 grains. Berger has a max load of 26.3 grains. For a 20 cal that is a big difference I think. My go to load for m...

Re: 39 grain ammo
HSM makes factory 39gr. Blitzking ammo along with 39gr. Calhoon double hollow pt factory rounds. I'v shot both these loads only at paper targets but they shot very well. Not sure how well the Calhoon bullets will do on varmints, but they held sub .75moa 5shot groups in my Savage. Web search: IQMETAL...
