Re: Browning A bolt hunter .204
I apologize- I did not update the original ad once I figured out my asking price. I have done that and added a link to a picture of my rifle. thanks for your interest.
Re: Browning A bolt hunter .204
For the additional cost of a barrel replacement I figured I might as well buy a different rifle...which I have done lol. Found the VS SF II I was looking for. Even with a heavier barrel this gun still wouldn't be a bench gun unless I replaced the stock which puts me even further into the hole.

Re: Looking for Browning A bolt in .204
I just found a new new one leftover from the 2004 shot show.... It was hiding in the back of the gunshop... I was very excited! Appears they are a limited run from a few years back... Extremely accurate and handles very well I saw a used varmint stalker at the cabelas in Eugene Oregon a few weeks ag...

Re: Browning .204
So I went with the browning abolt hunter in .204 and ordered Warne scope bases for an abolt, the box just says abolt nothing else...they don't fit... is this a micro action and thus need "micro bolt" scope bases?? ugh- Was hoping to get it mounted up and sighted in this weekend! I live clo...

Re: CZ vs Tikka
it was a special run for the 2004 shot show...and this has been sitting in the back of the gunshops warehouse since then so it is "new old stock". I probably paid a little more than I wanted ($615) but they had me in a tight spot as I have never seen a hunter in .204 anywhere before and I ...

Re: CZ vs Tikka
Well I talked myself into the Browning a-bolt hunter. Its something a little different as I haven't seen too many in .204. I couldn't find anyone who had a CZ 527 in stock for me to fondle....
I like the way the browning is put together and my wife likes it!

CZ vs Tikka
I'm sure this has been hashed out before but was hoping for any additional insight... I'm looking at a browning .204 today but I am pretty sure I am going with a .204 in either a CZ or Tikka Flavor. Tikka- I like the smooth action and synthetic stock (its rainy in oregon) CZ- Set trigger and an acti...

Browning .204
I was calling one of my favorite local gunshops to see what they had in .204 and they mentioned a browning hunter that was a shot show special from a few years ago. It was priced about $600. Does anyone have any info on this rifle, barrel length, twist, weight? Anyone have any experience with this r...

Re: Weight reduction through barrel elimination.
totally a late reply but...I have the same issue with a 26" 22-250...a big part of the issue is the weight with the longer barrel is hanging way out over the stock making it feel even heavier. The shorter barrel would lighten it up a little bit and would pull the balance point back making it a ...

Re: lightweight .204s?
oh wow- that would be amazing!!! I can get those results from my 17 hmr but I didn't think I could do that with any centerfire, certainly nothing lightweight without a break. Now I gotta decide between an AR or a bolt gun. With a bolt gun I can get something pretty neat looking but I already have a ...

lightweight .204s?
Hey guys new to the forum and looking to buy a .204...I just bought a .223 then started reading about the .204 and am wishing my rifle was a .204 now! I love the speed and lack of recoil and my question is.. How light of a rifle could I get and still be able to see my shots hit through the scope? I'...
