RL 15 Sensitivity?
Many of you have made the observation that RL 15 can be temp sensitive. I get very decent groups with 29gr. of that powder using Winchester brass/#7 1/2 primers/39gr Sierra BK's @ 2.320"OAL in my CZ 527 with a heavy varmint barrel in 204 Ruger with it in the summer. Recently, I've been loading ...

Re: holding a group at range
Have you considered that perhaps it could be a scope/parallax issue? Most scopes have their parallax adjusted for 100yds. Past that things can be way out of adjustment: just a thought. What scope and power setting are you using? Are you being super careful about your cheek placement ![chin :chin:](./images/smilies/chin.gif)

How much do you pay?
How much do you people pay for FFL fees? I am just a bit grumpy right now after talking to my FFL dealer. I am a member of a shooting range that offers lots of great service- including a member that has an FFL its members to buy guns. The last gun I bought was back in March and it only cost me $17.5...

Mount that puppy on a Desert Eagle 50cal and you'll have a nice twenty pound pig pistola. ![eew :eew:](./images/smilies/eew.gif)

New 221 Fireball
I guess CZ must have sent over a new shipment to the US as Bud's Guns sent me the news that they had 221 Fireballs in stock. I don't know if they have shipped mine yet, but I've ordered it. How many Fireball shooters are out there and what is your pet load? My research so far says that about 16g to ...

Re: Held a Tikka
I have one in 223cal. It's not a T3 either, it's a 595 Master Continental with a varmint stock and a heavy barrel. Shoots sub moa all day with many different loads. My favorite is with 40gr VMax and 2230c using Winchester brass. The trigger is fantabulous. Just wish they made more varmint calibers f...

Re: Sierra Blitzking Questions
A bit of a bird walk, but close to the subject at hand-my wife just got back from a business trip to Reno. While there, she called to tell me about a Cabela's store she spied and would I like for her to get some shooting supplies since she was in the neighborhood? The upshot, I got 5lbs of Reloader ...

Re: Sierra Blitzking Questions
Does Black Hills load with Sierra bullets? They make a decent shooting round, or so I've been told.

Re: Weaver Super Slam Scopes for my CZ
FWIW-my CZ 527 Varmint in 204 Ruger wears a Weaver 6-20x40OA Grand Slam with a fine dot/cross hair. It is my second favorite scope. It is very clear, holds a zero forever, and is an all around terrific performing scope. I shoot sub half inch groups at 200yds with that set up consistently and can see...

Re: Oh Come On!
[quote="Hedge"]WAAAAAY outa line on the price. I've got one and I sure didn't pay that much.
So did you pay even less? What did you pay, and what is your take on the scope as far as quality of glass, ruggedness, holding a zero?

Oh Come On!
You gotta be kiddin me! An $1140 scope selling for $179. Natchez has Millet Buck Gold side focus 6-25x56 scopes on sale that they say they regularly sell for $1141.79. I didn't just fall off the turnip truck. Those things couldn't have ever fetched that kind of scratch, could they? I'm sure they are...

Re: Nikon hath sinned against me
FWIW, in my quest to upgrade my optics from the middling Nikons, I ran across a Sightron SII Big Sky 4-16X42. Wanted side-focus and a little more mag., but it came with 1/8" click semi-target turrets, a sunshade, and it was only $400 new - they're almost 1/2 again that much everywhere else. Am...

Re: Lucky unlucky day
Went back first thing this morning just as the range was opening. One guy saw me looking around on the the ground around the benches, asked what I was looking for. When I told him, he looked down, bent over, picked something up, showed it to me and asked, "Is this what you are looking for?"...
