Re: How many reloads?
I don't shoot anything bigger than a 223. So I'm wondering-wouldn't an 85gr pill zippin along at 3800fps give your gun just a wee bit of a kick to it? Sorry to change the subject.

Re: How many reloads?
Seein as I live in Kondork country I gots to shoot lead free ammo. So I just ordered up some Barnes 26gr 204cal to try out. Have any of you shot them out of the CZ 204? I also ordered the 36gr in .224" but noticed after the fact that they are for "hornet." How do you think they will s...

How many reloads?
How many reloads do you guys keep loaded? Hard as I try I can never get all of my brass reloaded at one time. I'm not even sure how much brass I have anymore. I stopped setting a goal for myself as I always let myself down. My bread and butter work takes the steam outa me, so when I get home, I'm ju...

Re: New 221 Fireball
I put together all the empty brass I had with 40gr Blitzkings...ended up with 140 rounds. I was going to go to the range and see what kind of groups I could print last weekend with the CZ, but the black powder boys called dibs on the benches. So I was all set to go out tomorrow morning....but my bud...

Just how important is clean brass?
How important is clean brass to accuracy? I love opening a full box of shiny, new looking, reloads. It sure makes me feel better when shooting, but does it really matter that much? Do you clean your brass before, or after you size it?

Re: Does this exist as a non wildcat?
How do you form your brass for the Vartarg and what weight bullets do you shoot most often? Did you use the CZ action to build your Vartarg? Calhoon claims the 19cal is more efficient than the 20cal. Do you agree with him about that? Is it half a dozen of one six of another? Sure would be fun to see...

Does this exist as a non wildcat?
The 221fireball necked down to 20cal or 17cal? If so what is it called? Would it have any advantage over the 17Hornet? Is that what the 19 Badger is made from? Just wondering.

Re: New 221 Fireball
After another day at the range, my Fireball showed much improvement. Things that I did differently that may have improved shot groups were- changed primers from #7 1/2 Remmies to CCI #400's, and chamferred the necks very carefully prior to seating the bullets. The loads I shot today were Sierra 40gr...

Re: New 221 Fireball
Thanks for all of the great responses. Yes I do use the set trigger exclusively. If I get the new bolt handle, do I install it myself, or do I send the entire bolt in to be worked on? I was just looking on the CZ site, I was wondering if the laminate stock for the 527 Varmint will fit the 221 Fireba...

Re: New 221 Fireball
I know bug holes is a lofty expectation for a factory gun, but I get them(though not consistently) with my Tikka and my 204, and both are stark, factory shooters. They are heavy barreled varmint versions, and the 221 is a sporter, so that may have a lot to do with the situation. I've never done a be...

Re: New 221 Fireball
Just came back from the range. The new 221 is not shooting as well as I would like. It does not seem to actually have anything wrong with it. It just wont shoot bug holes. I've only used Reloader 7 so far with 40gr Vmax's, 50gr VMax's, 50gr TNT's, 40gr Sierra Blitzkings, and 55gr Varmint Nightmares....
