I tell ya, I sure am greatful for all the praise you fellas have shown, it sure makes a guy proud to know he is appreciated. Maybe someday my paycheck will show it too... :D I sure wish I was back home though, one of my lifelong buds, whom I taught how to call song dogs just before I deployed, email...

Re: Greetings from Iraq

Very good questions Ruger let me see if I can answer them without stepping into the grey area. First I wish I was Patreus he makes some good money. I would guess at our current level of success we would be here at least a couple more years. You have to understand that the Iraqi's use what is called ...

Re: Greetings from Iraq

Skipper, Early in the war that was easy with everyone in some semblance of a uniform. Later on before we started working with the Iraqi Army it was real tough unless one of our interpreters was from the area we were in. Most all these people live in fairly close knit community all their lives so the...

Hey guys, Thanks again for all the kind words. For the low down on what I do. I am part of a Military Transition Team or MiTT. Our job is to teach coach and mentor an Iraqi Army Battalion on how to operate so that the Iraqi Army can handle things here and we can all go home. Our MiTT teams and other...

Greetings from Iraq

How are all my old buds doin? It has been pretty busy around here. Working about 16 hours most days. Trying to get these Iraqi's trained up so we can get the heck outta here and go fight somewhere else. Weather has been chilly mostly at nights, warming up to the 60's in the day. Luckily it hasn't ra...

Re: Postal Shoot Excuses

Uh Huh, I see how it is guys! You guys put together this postal shoot just when I gotta go off and play army and be relegated to shooting my issue 5.56mm M4 instead of my trusty savage 204. :wall: Maybe in about oh say A YEAR AND A HALF! I will be able to try one of these here shoots. But seriously ...

I can reach the lands with 39gr BK's but not with 32's of any make. I use Nosler brass and LOVE it. Used winchester first but it is dwindling away as the number of loads on each case climbs.

Thanks guys, I will be teaching the Iraqi Army how to fight and then takin them out on operations. Feels kinda wierd knowing I won't have my Stryker this time for protection. Hawkeye, you can convince one of them bullet makers to produce a boattail 35 grainer for me. I think that would be just about...
