It depends on wether or not you want to keep the hide. I used the 32gr and the 40gr v-max on coyotes. Both dropped em dead but left big holes in the hide. Going with the 35gr berger this year.

Fur friendly factory ammo

I am not set up to reload yet so factory ammo is my only option. I am shooting the hornady 40 gr. v max in my cz. They shoot well but leave such huge holes in the hides. It seems the further the coyotes are the bigger hole it leaves. The thing I do like though is the one shot kills. I know it gets t...

The 204 is not a mountain lion or a deer gun. Not to say it won't kill one. As for coyotes...absolutely!

There is a lot of good guys on this site with a lot of good info but with that being said I sure get tired of the "the 204 is not a good cal. for coyotes" talk. I'm just not sure where that talk comes from. If I was only killing animals or birds I shot 65% of the time I would hang it up. D...

I am shooting factory 40gr vmax from hornady. Thats what grouped best in my cz. I shot 2 coyotes last weekend with them. First was about 100 yards. I shot her just under the chin in the neck.
