I just had a couple of guys with Mississippi plates drive up along my property on the township road and start blasting pheasants with a shotgun.....SEASON IS CLOSED... PROPERTY IS POSTED!!!!!! Needless to say... I called law enforcement with their plate number and ...

Re: Cooper finally arrived!!

I beleive that I am getting close to the load that I want to use in my new Cooper .260 Rem. The group was 4 shots. 3 by myself and then I handed the rifle to a friend, and he asked where I was holding, I said dead center, then he proceeded to put a round right in the center of my group!! This was at...

Re: resizing 7mm-08 brass to .260

Thanks. Just because they were all that was on the shelf; I started with the Sierra Matchkings 107 gr. Some seemed to shoot real good, then I will get some flyers. Have some 120gr. Sierra Game Kings; will try them and see how they do. Also have an 8lb jug of H4350, so will try to work with that.

Re: Low Recoil & Big Distance...?

That works for me. This .338 that I have; I saw it on a shelf in a local gun store and something about it intrigued me. So I held it; looked it over, and thought this is something that somebody has done some work on, but ran out of money or something. It is a Rem 700 stainless barrel and receiver th...

Re: Low Recoil & Big Distance...?

I very well appreciate you guy's advice-- I also preach the same thing. I have tried the 1000 yard shots with .50BMG; 30-06 and now my .338. And this was the FIRST time of any consistency. I got very lucky with my first shot and saw the bullet strike, and heard it hit my metal target. NOW I was righ...

Re: North Dakota PD Hunt 7-14-2011--Photos

There were a couple of muddy spots, but I sailed through those. When I got to the creek I have to walk/wade across to get to the prairie dog town, it was way higher than I have ever seen it!!! I had my chest waders along, but there was no way I was going to attempt a crossing because of the speed a...

Malazan; I have my Jewell's set at 4-6 oz range. USE EXTREME CAUTION!!! When doing any thing other than shooting off a bench, I carry with bolt open and magazine empty. Safety on. When a target is spotted, drop 1 round in, close bolt. When ready to shoot, release safety, squeeze trigger, lift bolt ,...
