Re: Leupold 6.5-20x40 AO too much for a 17 Hornet?
I use a Weaver V-16 with a dot reticle and A/O and love it. I would think it would be a good fit for the .17HH. It's very effective out to 300 when the wind is light

Re: FFP Reticles
I use a Cabelas branded Covanent 6x24 for scope on my .204 with a moa reticle. I was making hits over 1/4 mile away on a Wyoming Prairie Dog hunt. I held of 4-6 moa using the hash marks for holdover and wind with no dialing. All I did was range it, dope it and shoot. The moa marks with a ffp are acc...

The 105 A-max once held both the 600 and 1000 yd bench rest records. I think the 1000 yd record remains.

Did the V-Max expand upon hitting the fly, or did it fail to expand.

Re: New reamer design for the 204
Thanks Rick! I got your spec reamer in yesterday and the LRPV is going off to Kevin Rayhill for a blueprint and set back the Shillen select match 1-10. I can't wait to see how it shoots!

Re: Sending a Savage 204 back Into Savage
It is a common problem for the H&S Precision stocks. I have two of them and the .204 hit hard and the 6mmBR was real close. Fiberglass sands fairly easy. It was not worth my time to return.

Bullberry did a test by cutting off 1" at a time and I believe 23" was the max fps on their barrel.

Re: My awesome new stock blew apart my groups...
The H&S needs a skim bed. Both of my LRPV were not 100% contact, and the .204 contacted the barrel channel.

Re: What is the best way to achive fastest speed with .204?
One thing the .204 has, that the others do not is it is a factory loaded round, that I would guess a quite a few folks don't reload, they just buy the ammo and shoot. I will kind of split hairs on the .20 practical, but its free bore is set so one can touch the rifling with a 32 grain bullet, and it...
