Re: Primer Problems?
When you get a chance(somewhere safe of course) chamber a few loaded cartridges in your rifle but don't fire them. Check the primers and see if the shiny rings are there. If the marks are there I would say you have to much headspace, causing the head of the cartridge to be forced against the firing ...

It's the 28" pro-hunter 204 barrel with a Simmons whitetail classic 6.5x20x50. Load Winchester brass (lee collet sizer, Redding body die when necessary) BR4 primer 24.8 gr. 10x 39 gr. SBK 2.300 overall length http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee183/kingcrawler75/0D5BF0ED-70D1-4255-8049-F24F874...

Re: 204 targets (graphic)
Wow, that is an impressive shot! My longest shot on an animal so far has a tad over 300 at a coyote. I have killed some 1 gallon water jugs out to the 400 lol. I need to invest in better glass on my 204. I currently have a Simmons whitetail classic on it and I beleive I could increase my range with ...

Re: 204 targets (graphic)
Should have been more descriptive lol, top photo is a crow that I took at 150 yards in the head. Bottom is a grey fox that I shot last season at about 100 yards. I was shooting down hill at a pretty steep angle, bullet entered right behind shoulder and exited low in the stomach.

Re: First hog of the 2012 season.
Man that thing does have a huge head! Either the hogs from my neck of the woods have peanut heads or shoulders like linebackers because they definitely look a lot different than that. good shootin man.

Re: work coyote!
Its actually slate but I do work in the coal industry. It sure helps pass the time at work looking for 204 targets lol. This is also one of the few places that I can really stretch the 204 out and get some distance. I'm one of the few people around who hunt coyotes from a bull dozer lol.

Re: TC-.204
You need to go over to mike bellms site for sure and do some reading. He is the go to guy for encore problems. He explains very clearly how to measure your barrel to frame gap and your headspace. I was having some accuracy issues aw well with my 204 barrel over exccesive headspace.
