Re: WIN 748 Load Data 39 gr SBK
You will be safe using the 40 data with the 39 SBK provided you follow safe load development practices. Doesn't matter what anyone else has done safely with a combo because every rifle is different. Start at the lower end and work up to what your rifle likes watching for pressure as you seek the per...

Re: Powders with low ES and SD
I may be wrong but annealing my brass and a very good scientific scale made all the difference for me. Especially the scale. I was amazed how far off my rcbs beam scale and charge master could be in high/low spread when i got a scale that went to .001gn

Re: Hodgdon CFE 223 loads?
I have found that 28.7 CFE223 over rem 7 1/2 primers at 2.3 coal works well with 39SBK and any 40r pill in all three of my .204's

Re: Where to start?
I have a rem 700 vssfII and it loves the 40 grain vmax over 27.7 grains of h4895. Also the 32 grain vmax over 28 grains of benchmark. I use rem 7 1/2 primers or cci450. BE CAREFUL WORKING UP TO THESE LOADS!!! They are pretty warm, and I reached those numbers slowly. Just cause they are ok in my rifl...

Re: wipe out no lead
What are your methods for using Wipeout? (overnight soaking, 30mins etc) Do you spray from the chamber end or muzzle? I don't use the aerosol. I usually run a wet patch, a few brush strokes and let sit 20 minutes or so. I follow that with a wet patch and let it sit for 20 min again. Then its just a...

Re: Cooper finally arrived!!
That .204 hotrod is quite the instigator! Now I know what my next cooper will be! He got me hooked on the .204 to begin with, and now I have three! (he can't be all bad though, he bought me my first cooper in .204) That .260 will flat out shoot! I put the 4th round in that target, and groups like th...

Re: Trigger Pull Weight
Malazan; I have my Jewell's set at 4-6 oz range. USE EXTREME CAUTION!!! When doing any thing other than shooting off a bench, I carry with bolt open and magazine empty. Safety on. When a target is spotted, drop 1 round in, close bolt. When ready to shoot, release safety, squeeze trigger, lift bolt ...

Left the range....
WnMag's grandpa recently left the range. Just thought i'd let him know our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. The stories and memories WnMag shared of all the Elk hunting and things let me know how much he will be missed. I think he will be with ya in the field at least in spirit WnMa...

Re: New to the club.
Welcome aboard! Need to see the rifle porn though! Love to see the pics on here. I think the howa will do you a good job. (especially since I saw the .3 groups at 100 yds you put up with it your first time out!) Nice shooting imo!
