Re: What Can I Get Out Of This Set Up

I get .75 groups out of my Rem 700 VSSFII at 200 and 2-3 inch groups at 500. Good to coyote size at 500 easy. Most accuracy depends on how tight the "nut" behind the trigger is.lol

Re: Pretty funny!

The .204 is here to stay. Very versatile and great for mid to long range predator/varmint. Pin point accuracy and about my favorite. Have two in remmy's and ordering a Cooper. Doesnt sound "dead" to me. Two friends have purchased them after shooting mine and one more is getting one. Shoot,...

Re: What load to start with for Rem SPS Varmint

I have had good luck with hodgden powders. Benchmark, H4895, and BLC (2). All verry accurate in my rem's. For bullets I didn't find any "turds" so far. I find they shoot around .3 groups towards the high end of the load data. Try the 32 grain stuff with the Benchmark and the 39 & 40 gr...

Re: 204 V 22 CALS.

Barrel life is another thing to take into the equation. The big 22's are a lot harder on barrels at the 4k feet per second speeds. longer barrel life and comparable ballistics give the .204 the nod for me.

Re: shepherd scopes

I dont have a Shepard, but the ones I've seen were pretty nice. The only thing I didn't care for was the adjustable objective, I prefer a side focus. Just a matter of personal preff.

Re: cooper rifles?

Never owned a cooper myself, but from all I hear on here they are top notch for a factory rifle. I've looked long and hard at them and maybe some day. Any rifle that comes with a test target sub moa cant be bad. I shoot most of mine single shot and prefer a heavy barrel, but I am into precision and ...

Re: New look for my .204!

As Wnmag says, Boyds has them already finished for around $92. I got mine at a gun show with a factory sporter channel and had alot of inletting to do. A good friend helped with the glass bedding job and it is a great shooter now. I Will be doing all my own from now on. It is alot of fun, and easier...

Just doing some group testing today. http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x463/rlaundre/0318111744b.jpg My wife put up 2 nice groups at 50 yards today! Re: Interpreting Groups

So far WN Mag and I have been lucky, All 3 of the 204's we shoot are sub moa with all the loads we try. Some being one hole loads. The wife loves the fact that she's taking "Tack Drivers-ed" in a Ferrari. Ya' gotta love the violent little 204! If anyone knows for sure how to interpret grou...

New look for my .204!

I got my new stock unfinished and did my own inletting, finishing, and bedding. I don't think it came out to bad for a first time job. She shoots hundred yard one hole groups at the range now.(with the right load. 26.7 gr RL15, 35 gr bergers) For pics. of groups see post in 204 reloading under 7mag ...

Re: Need a scope for Savage 12FV in 204 Ruger

I have Zeiss optics on both my .204's. 6.5-20x50, and 4.5-14x44. My opinion is its the better scope for less. (800-1100 price range) Perfect glass for less than the NF/Leupy. Both are great and the longest confirmed shot I made with the .204 on a pdog was 628 yds. Best bang for the buck!
