Re: tumbling bullets
How many rounds do you have down the barrel? When my last barrel went south it too started to tumble the 39rs. Might wanna have someone look at the throat with a bore scope.

Re: Coyote Loads
TDH, Welcome to the world of the 204R! As for factory loads your most popular choices are either the 32 or 40grs. I've been told that the Remington bullets are just Hornady V-Maxes with a funky green tip. I've shot the factory Remington 40gr and they shot well. As for lethality, I think you'd be fin...

Re: Remington Accutip
Like Broper mentioned, they're just v-maxes with a green tip. Just pick up some Hornady 40s and you'll have the same bullet.

Re: Remington Accutip
I had some factory loaded stuff and it shot really well out of my Savage 1:12 twist. Never really thought to give their loose bullets a try though.

Re: Remington 700 sps varmit
How about a Tikka? I have this model in 22-250 and so far I've been very happy with it. http://www.tikka.fi/pdf/specs/LiteStainless.pdf The trigger is very nice right out of the box, better than my Savage's accutrigger. The action is super smooth and the plastic stock isn't nearly as flimsy as the o...

Varmageddons reviews
I did a search on here to see what people have had to say about the Varmageddons. It appears that some have liked em. I was curious if there were anymore reviews about them? My rifle shoots the Sierra BKs really well so I'm wondering how they compare. I know the BKs are quite a bit more money. Has a...

Sth Oz, FL sizing increases case length, thus necessitating trimming more often.

Re: 4-14x40 with mil dot for coyotes?
Well, I pulled the trigger on it. My Talley rings showed up yesterday. I hope to get it mounted and shot this weekend. I'll post my feedback after that.

Re: Reloading info source for 22-250
Thanks. I failed to mention that I have quite a few reloading manuals that I refer to frequently. I was just looking for maybe a forum type environment to see who's having success with what components in that caliber. Thanks again.

4-14x40 with mil dot for coyotes?
I have the opportunity to get a very lightly used Zeiss Conquest 4-14x40 for a good price. I thought about using it on my new Tikka T3 Lite in 22-250 as a dedicated coyote rifle. Any thoughts as to how that scope would work on that caliber for that target?

Reloading info source for 22-250
Hey all,
I just picked up a Tikka T3 Lite in 22-250. Does anybody have a source for good info about that caliber like this great site here? Or any advice and tips for that cartridge would also be appreciated.

What brand of 22-250 dies do ya have to trade? I have some 204 dies I can trade and we can probably do something with the brass too. Shoot me a PM if it's easier.

Re: Ground squirrels endangered in Idaho
No way! Please say it isn't so! I got my new barrel on and ready to go. In fact my extra cases just showed up and I was ready to start loading this week. We have a ranch by Malad that has em all over the place. What's next, our friggin rock chucks?! There is NO way hunting could have any significant...

Re: 32 v-max for coyotes
Very nice! I too have been having trouble getting em called in. This abnormally warm winter has them well fed I think. The one critter I did manage to call in, a red fox, I dropped with a 39gr BK like you have been using. Of course it really hammered him. I wanna see what it will do on a coyote sinc...

Re: Zeiss Victory Rangefinder
It was right even with the Leica. I don't know how I got along without one. IMO, a good range finder is an indispensable tool.Bodei wrote:Sounds wonderful. I'm afraid to ask how much it cost.
