Re: Amount of rounds out of 1lb of powder
There are 7,000 grains to 1 lb of powder. Just run the numbers.

Re: Winchester Brass
Rick - I tried CCI 400s but was getting severe cratering even at moderate loads. Did some research and found that they're .005" thinner than the Rem 7/12 or BR4. James Calhoun did a paper on primers and pressure which indicated that the 400s were more of a 40,000 psi and under primer. Or did yo...

Re: Load Development Method
I use the OCW method. Then tweak the seating depth to tighten the group.
For the .204, I'd go with .2 gr increments. It's a small case and .2gr will make a difference.

I have a 50mm lens with a 30 mm tube on my FCV. Needed the Burris high rings.

Re: 17 Hornady Hornet Reamer Print
Thanks, ab.
Wish they'd get there definitions consistent. Every book I've seen defines freebore and leade as the same thing.
Also noticed on the dwg that there are two dimensions of .1725 and the do not appear to be marked correctly. Look above the lead.

Re: 17 Hornady Hornet Reamer Print
This is only the second reamer print I've seen, so forgive my ignorance.
Why does the print list lead(e) and throat dimension? They're the same thing.

Re: RCBS die issue
That looks like way too much neck resizing. Are you sure you have the right case and/or die?
On a second look, I'd mic the sizer ball. Looks like it might be the wrong diameter.

+1 with what Brad said.
First thing I'd check is the crown. A ding or burr there will do it.

8208XBR with 26 gr VG is what I use for ground squirrels. Tack driver at 100 yds. Screams out at 4100fps.

Re: 39 gr blitz kings trouble grouping
Couldn't get the 39 gr. SBK to shoot worth a darn in my 12 FCV, even with 5 different powders.
40's shoot fine.

Nice shooting!
That load is in the range I've found that shoots best with H4895.

Re: P-Dogs
Now this is what January in ND should be like!
Good deal on the PDs.
Made a set on coyotes a couple hours ago. Nice to be lying in ambush in this weather. Only problem was I heard 'em but they didn't want to come to the party.
