Re: Sonic Cleaner vgs Tumbler

Wrangler - I think you hit the nail on the head. :yeah: Sounds like you and I have been down the same road. I've settled on a few procedures that give me the warm fuzzies. There are times, however, when something comes along with the promise of more fuzzies. So, I'm off on a new tack. Lobber...

Re: Seating Flat Based Bullets

Missed the part about the hole being off-center. No biggie. You can enlarge it a bit or order a new part. The critical thing is leaving enough bearing surface for even contact with the bullet.

Re: Seating Flat Based Bullets

JLC -

Pull the seating stem and smooth the interior of it with some 600 grit carbide paper. Make a nice radius so the bullet won't catch on it.

I had a small problem with mine. the recess wasn't deep enough for the bullet point. So, I just drilled it deeper.

Re: CCI - 400 primers

Dan - Good question. Not one I'm savvy enough to answer, though. All I can offer is some observations. I set my pressure level at 40K just to be on the safe side. Calhoun sets the safe pressure at 55K. So, somewhere in between, I would expect to start seeing pressure signs. From what I see on the pr...

Re: .204 Ruger accuracy

Redleg - You're welcome. Glad it helped. Here's what happened. I was in the middle of re-running an OCW test and the bullets just weren't hitting the way I thought they should. I'd started the test with a couple of zeroing shots and they were right on. Then, on the 4th target the bullet impacted nea...

Re: NEW 20 Caliber 37 Grain Bullets

Thanks, Brad.

Didn't see the BC on the site. It will help shooters in predicting trajectory.

Those 37 grainers look good. Reckon I'll order some. :)

Re: .204 Ruger accuracy

You should do fine at 300 yds with your system. The .204 will shoot farther, though. I've been smacking steel plates the size of a coyote at 540yds. But, I'm shooting a varmint style bolt rifle. Hmmm...Millett. Not saying Millett is a bad scope. I have one and it's heavy duty and good optics. The tu...

Re: RL 15 Sensitivity?

Sounds like the group size is a matter of non-concentric necks. If you haven't loaded them, neck size the cases. Otherwise, fire form them and then neck size only. When they don't chamber easily, then use a body die and bump the shoulders back .002". As for the temperature sensitivity, it's the...

Re: .204 Ruger accuracy

:lmao: Hope he shows up at the range again with the check! You should be able to do a heck of a lot better than 5" at 100 yds. The Bushmaster should perform for you with the .204 upper assuming you're a sub MOA shooter. ;) The scope on the other hand...you might want to consider other scopes. B...

Great! :yeah:

Might help you get more customers if they have bullet specs to compare with. :)

Re: NEW 20 Caliber 37 Grain Bullets

Brad -

what is the BC on your bullets? G7 or G1?

Can't tell from the pic whether they have a tangent or secant ogive.

If you have the time, it would be nice to have some details about your bullets on your web site.

Tnx.

Looks like they ran the rounds through a misaligned military primer pocket crimper.
