Re: Exceeding max load??
I hope you use good quality brass and inspect it closely before reloading it. A few years ago my son and I were shooting some Hornady factory loads and he got one with bad brass. The whole back end of the round let loose. It trashed my bolt and my son got a face full of gas and debris. Fortunately h...

Re: Primer of Choice?
Hi guys! I have seen a number of forum discussions about Remington 700's having issues with primer cratering. Some say Remington's response to inquiries it that they design for this cratering. Jim Jim, I called Remington when I noticed the the same happening with my 700 on both factory rounds and m...

weighing brass
I was preping some new Win brass and decided to weigh the cases. I was surprised how much of a varience there was in weight of the brass. I was wondering how many people weight their brass and how much it improves accuracy to sort them by weight.

Re: Do Noslers take a back seat to ??
I've never tried Noslers. I've had very good luck with 40 gr Vmaxs and 39 gr BKs, and disappointing results with Berger 40 gr BTHPs.

Re: CFE223 anyone?
Ol' Joe, I have a pound of Superformance my son got for his 300WSM. Last time I checked there was no loading data for 204. I even called Hornady and they said it was not formulated for 204. I pulled apart a Hornady factory 204 round and the factory powder looks and smells exactly like the Superforma...

Re: CFE223 anyone?
I'm picking up a pound today. I'm interested to see how it will compare to my two "go to" powders Reloder 10X and 8208XBR. Does anyone know if it's a temp sensitive powder?

Re: Case trimmer
I've been having a great time playing with my Christmas present, trimming 204 and 300WSM cases. I would highly recommend the RCBS Trim Pro to anyone interested in getting a case trimmer. It's easy to set up, holds the trim length right to the thousandth all the way through the run, and the case mout...

Christmas surprise
Today was pay day and I got a nice surprise in my check, a $100 rebate from our health insurance company. Being a sensible and intelligent person, I went right down to my local gun shop Biekirch Ammunition and blew it all , and then some, on brass, bullets, primers and a few odds and ends. It will b...

Re: The perfect loading setup
I've had good luck with the Hornady Lock N Load kit. About the only thing it's missing is a case trimmer. Other than that, all you need are dies, bullets, brass, primers and powder and you're good to go. Almost forgot, get a good dial caliper too.
