A2230

If you haven't tried Accurate A2230 yet give it a shot. I'm getting some very nice groups with it. (This pic is for RIO and Ramos, sorry guys :) )

Re: Need a little help

If you have a stock trigger I hope you haven't lightened the pull. I did that with my 700. When I sent it in to be repaired after a factory round blew up in it they said the trigger had been improperly adjusted and stuck me with the cost of installing a new X Mark trigger. It's a much better trigger...

Re: 204 Ruger from 222 mag brass

If you have 222 mag brass available, and are in need of 204R brass, this might be something you want to try. That's what I thought but I checked with my local gun shop and they said 222 mag brass is almost impossible to find. I guess I should have checked with them first before I posted my question.

204 Ruger from 222 mag brass

Has anyone ever tried forming 204R brass from 222 mag cases?

Re: 32gr - V-Max vs Varmagrddon

I got a nearly full box of 40gr V-max but the guy i was speaking to at the gun shop seems to think they wont stabilize in the 204 with the 1/12.... If the 40s wont stabilize try the 39gr Sierra BKs - if you can find them. From what I've read most 1 in 12 twist barrels that wont stabilize 40s have n...

Re: annealing brass

Thanks all. Bow, I'm going to order some of that tempilaq liquid from Brad at CRT. What temp would you suggest?

annealing brass

With new brass being almost impossible to find I'm going to start annealing some of my old Win and Remington brass. Any comments on what procedure you used and how it worked would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Two questions :)

I've never used the 550 but the Vihtavuori N140 is great for the 204. I got a 3 shot group at 100 yards measuring .177 center to center with 27.6 grains of N140 using 40 gr Vmaxs. As for your second question, I polished a spare Lee neck sizing mandrel down by .001 and did not notice any change in ac...

32 gr Sierra BKs in a 9 twist barrel

I had some left over 32 gr Sierra BKs that I thought would not work in my new 9 twist barrel. I thought I'd try them just to see if they would do anything other than fly apart. From my 40 grain loads I found the most accurate level was 96 to 98% of max. I took 97% of the max for Reloder10X for a 32 ...

Re: CCI small primers anywhere????

Smitty, where in New York are you? Beikirchs in East Rochester just got in a good supply of CCI BR4 primers. They jacked the price way up to $50 a brick but at least they have them.

It's $50 here too. I'll check on the brass and let you know.
