Re: Heads up on Hornady dies

So are they forcing registration of dies? Or do you need to keep receipts? I mean, how are the enforcing "original purchaser" status?

Re: Tactical .22 LR ammo

It is the same as one of their lines of ammo but it isn't the Stinger line. I'd have to do a search over on RimfireCentral to find it, but I think I might be their MiniMag. It is supposedly intended to work better in semi-autos, or at least that is how they are swinging the "tactical" desc...

Re: Better powder dispenser

Bodei, How many times have you left the powder drain open when you changed powders? A couple a times of that and I started putting a plain piece of white paper under the chargemaster just in case I did it again. All in all I agree. A great powder dispenser! I've done it a few times too and th...

Anschutz 1517 HMR (SPF)

I built this rifle up a couple years ago thinking that I would shoot the cr@p out of it at prairie dogs but it just never happened. I like my centerfire rifles too much. It has three 50-round boxes of ammo through it. Basically still new. I bought this rifle brand new without a barrel. It was import...

Re: looking for a 700 short action...

For that M700 short action, try Brownells, they usually have them in stock, and I see that they also have it in the correct boltface available in the SA for your .260 project. Good luck with the build. :D http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=32498/Product/REMINGTON-700-SHORT-LONG-ACTION-RECEIVERS Tha...

Re: WTB 204 Ruger brass

Interesting thing about Hornady brass... I have a 6.5mm Creedmoor and Hornady is the only manufacturer. The stuff is wicked nice. Out of the box I would compare it to Lapua, but I know that Lapua would last longer. Regardless, not all of their brass is bad. My Savage LRP in 6.5CM is a fairly consist...

Re: Found another use for the VLD chamfer tool - duh!

Yep. I can't remember the last time I used the inside chamfer side of my RCBS tool. I only use it for the outside deburring. I use the VLD chamfer tool on virtually all my brass regardless of bullet type.

Re: Case lube question.

I use Imperial and apply it by rolling a dab in my palm and taking 3-4 cases at a time and rolling them in my hand with my fingers as I work the press applies enough to lube.. I`ve found that just handling the brass after rolling a few gets enough lube on them to prevent sticking. If you use one of...

Dang, I missed this. Wish I had known. I don't do Starbucks much these days cause I have my own espresso machine in the kitchen but I do like their coffee and I certainly like their open support of our rights.

Re: Scales...Whats are we using?

It won't be too long until our state of California adopts the completely rediculous rules on bullets as England has. Already can't buy ammo over the Internet and have to account for ammo purchases. It'll happen.
