Bunch of guys from Oregon on here.
What is up with all the Oregonians on this website? Seems like a bunch anyway.
I'm born and raised in Lebanon OR, but live in Colorado now (just outside Boulder... north of Denver).

Re: TC venture
Well, looks like I can pick up a Savage 12VLP DBM for $626, or a 12FCV for $487.
As much as I wanted to try the TC Venture or the Icon... I think for the price and features I am going to go with Savage.

Re: 17 HMR and PD's
My Anshutz 1517D HB G "Custom". Notice the factory "large" bolt knob. Came from Germany with a 14" threaded barrel. By the time I "rescued" it the barrel had already been removed due to it's short length. Picked it up minus the barrel for $200 (aka STOLE it) and fo...

Re: What do you think of the current version of Rem 597 in 22lr
I know this is an older thread, but I thought I would add my personal experience. I have a Rem 597 LS HB (Laminate Stock, Heavy Barrel). I bought it about 4 years ago or so. I have shot some incredibly small groups with it off the bench (smallest groups in the zeros at 25yrds... .055" was my sm...

Re: DIY Camo Gun Dipping
Looking for a DIY hydrographic that isn't camo. There are Sooooooooooo many patterns out there and I don't understand why it seems that only the camo patterns are available for DIY.

Re: TC venture
Hmmm... your right, it does. I didn't look at the catalog. The website itself doesn't list the twist rate for the Icon in the specs, so I called TC and talked to a gunsmith who informed me that the twist on the Icon Precision Hunter in .204 was 1-12 and the Venture Predator was 1:10 (as shown on the...

Re: TC venture
My bet is finding an accurate load in one of them would be much easier than a normal 12 twist. Just my hunch. Of course the Icon Precision Hunter comes with a varmint weight barrel ;) The Precision Hunter is on my WANT list for sure, and maybe I should just save up the extra $$$ for it. I'm just no...

Re: TC venture
I am in the market for a new bolt gun in .204 Ruger and I am seriously considering straying from Remington and picking up a TC Venture Predator. Has anyone on here tried one of these in .204 yet? I wish it had a little bit heavier barrel, but I am thinking that the 1-10" twist combined with the...

Is it necessary to "break in" a centerfire prior to beginning load testing?
