Re: outside neck deburr tool?

Why can't a company just make a cutter, much like the VLD cutters that are on the market?

Re: Finally Started

Nice hunting over your way, eh?

How do you like those bench legs? I have seen some photos of people building pretty elaborate workshops using those systems of legs and shelf components.

Re: Loading for Accuracy Vs. Velocity

So we're talking about the .204 Ruger here. It's just a phenomenal cartridge. I can get the little Barnes 26 grain Varmint Grenade up to 4,110 fps and shoot .25" groups, except when a zephyr or tornado happens. That isn't maximum velocity, it's a mild load of Rl-10x. Even the big long Berger 5...

Re: Scope Power

Absolutely. More power is generally better for pDogs but not necessary. I have everywhere from a straight power 12x Leupold to a 4.5-15x Nikon and on up to a 24x Leupold. I prefer the higher powers, but if the glass is clear enough then the lower powers work just fine as well.

Re: NEW HAWKEYE PREDATOR

Don't be afraid to post more photos of that beautiful gun either! VERY nice. Love the scope (I live only a few miles from the original Redfield factory in Golden Colorado). Glad to see that Leupold bought the brand and is manufacturing scopes under the Redfield name again. I hope they decide t...

Re: First attempt at 200yrds with my .223, I have some questions

You can get On Target which is a free program that does calcuations on group size if you have a way to scan your target or take a picture which you obviously do. http://www.ontargetshooting.com/download.html My calculations with On Target using your picture show an moa of .545 at 200 yds. That's pr...

Re: Which Press

If you can spare the few extra bucks per set, go with the Redding dies. When it comes to die sets I prefer Redding and Lee. Redding is top notch, and Lee is known for holding tight tolerances in the "run of the mill" class dies. Just my choice though. Check your local area for used reloadi...

Re: Good calling and bad weather

Well, I made it out again for a day of calling. The weather was cold, and had spats of snow but it was doable. On the way out of town we spotted seven in fields we did not have permission to hunt. Our first area was dry but had a pile of deer wintering on the property. I was able to get some good p...

The Pacific Northwest is definitely home to some great companies. Like Leupold, Danner, Nosler ... etc.
