There is an old saying... There those that have shot their chronograph, and there are those that WILL shoot their chronograph.
Just be happy that it was only an upright and not the box itself.

Re: Am I wrong...........
I would stay on them until they make it right. Federal had an issue with a certain lot of their Automatch .22lr ammo either last year or the year before. I saw a lot of reports where they were paying for shipping of the bad ammo back to Federal, and they were reimbursing folks with double the amount...

Sounds a lot light to me!
100 rounds factory Hornady = approximately $100.00
350 vmax bullets = approximately $70.00
Retail prices.
I'm thinking that they should have compensated you 500 rounds to be fair. Just my opinion though.

Re: Is this typical for .204 rifles?
Most barrels manufactures produce barrels with a specific outer contour (dia). The wall thickness is just a byproduct of the bullet diameter. Generally.
Because of the small diameter of the .204 generally the wall thicknesses will be greater.

Re: CCI Small Rifle Primers $19.99 on Cabela's Website
I get a lot of pierced primers with the CCI 400's. I picked up some Remington 7 1/2 BR primers to see if that fixes it. The CCI 400 has one of the thinner cup thicknesses.

If I don't have a super stable bench for load testing then I get down in the prone position with a bipod or a front rest. Without being incredibly stable I don't feel like I am learning anything from my test loads.

That's a beautiful piece of wood Trent. What is it, rosewood? It is an unknown variety of walnut. I'm thinking Claro. It's got some nice burl in the forearm. A buddy of mine found this wood in the back of an old salvage car. If I had to guess I would say that the wood is 30+ years old. It looked li...

Re: Did I do that?
As far as just filling the holes goes, I have made "filler" plugs by just taking an in expensive aftermarket (Uncle Mikes) sling stud and chucking it into my drill and filing it down with a good file just "machine" it down flat and the cold blue it. Then you can screw it into the...

I've never seen a sling stud glued in place. Not to say that nobody does it, but I have yet to see it.
