Re: Tumbler Media

One thing about the media additives/polishes. Be careful how much you add. If you over do it you will end up with the situation that the OP is stating... media stuck in the cases. You'll also end up with a lot of film left on the cases. With too much compound in the mix the media will pack into the ...

Re: Bullet Seating

Are you sure it is brass and not copper? It is more than likely shavings from the sides of bullets. You may have sharp edges on the mouth of your cases and it is shaving some copper off of the bullet jackets as you press the bullet into the cases. What tool are you using to chamfer the mouth of your...

Ruger M77 Varmint .22-250 (SPF)

I have for sale a 1975 Ruger M77 Varmint in .22-250. This is a nice example of the earlier "tang safety" and red butt pad models. I don't know a lot about this particular rifle. I bought it last week from the original owner to replace my Remington 700 BDL "Varmint Special" in .22...

Re: New carry piece and first 1911

Love those grips!! Might have to find me some of those. My dad was a USN Corpsman in-country with the Marines from 68-70 I believe. He was one of the VERY few enlisted Navy guys you'd see dressed in Marine BDUs. After all these years we (family) finally convinced him to go get checked out for PTSD. ...

Re: Reloading for handguns

For your .45acp info, there is no greater resource than http://forums.1911forum.com/index.php . There is more information over there than you ever thought you could know. Also, obviously those guys shoot just about every handgun cartridge available (I only shoot a 1911), so they will have tons of ad...

Re: WTB: Savage Target Action

Thanks rutzy, I am looking for the short action single shot target action (comes with the target version of the AccuTrigger). kyyotestalker, I've bought from Buds in the past and was definitely happy. I figured I'd see if I could scrounge up a used target action first. If not then I'll give Buds or ...

WTB: Savage Target Action

I am wanting to buy a Savage Target action. Right bolt, right port with a standard bolt head (.308 cal).

If anyone has one they want to sell let me know. I am ready to buy.

I'm tempted not to sell it. I'll probably regret it later.

Yeah... sounds cushy! Ha!

When you say "pipeline" does that mean you are in AK?

Re: .204 package deal- price drop- 1800.00

I decided to go back to school and change what I wanted to be when I grow up. At 38 years old (today... happy bday to me!) I am often the oldest dude in class, but not always. Working AND going to school is tough, and I want to graduate before it is time to retire!

Pictures are worth a thousand words and that makes Rick a loud mouth!

I don't think anyone would have any second thoughts about the 20VT after looking at Rick's recent woodchuck threads. Good stuff.

Re: What Brass?

Trent--I bought 4 bags of WW brass (200 cases) in .243 Win. I could not even seat a primer in the one bag of cases. I tried about 10 cases in that bag then gave up and wrote off that bag of 50 as bad because of the primer pockets. In the 2nd bag some of the pockets were "normal" and other...

Re: iphone ballistics apps

I'm considering giving this a try. A friend of a friend developed it. Looks nice. Seems to do all the stuff that I like about the "Let Fly Deluxe" program but is a little cleaner.

Re: iphone ballistics apps

I was using " Let Fly Deluxe " and I absolutely loved it, but recently they made a change to the library of cartridges and it makes it tough to sort through. It is a pretty awesome program once you sort it out though. You can save rifle profiles which is nice since you can build one to you...
