Re: CCI small primers anywhere????

A year??? That's bonkers!!!

I don't get the absolute lack of primers at the bigger companies like Powder Valley and such. Why are they not at least getting their normal resupply?

Re: 2012 archery harvest

That would have made for some great TV!

I just bought a Hoyt Vector 32 a couple of weeks ago and I am learning the ropes. Been shooting 30-40 arrows a day in the back yard building up my muscles and getting a feel for my anchor points. Can't wait for next season!

Re: WTB - magazine for Remington (DPMS) 30 RAR

I'll give the 110gr Vmax a try. I've been using the 125gr and 150gr Nosler BTs and am really impressed with them. I've shot two deer and three wild hogs and they've all collapsed in they're tracks without so much as a twitch. I wish Remington (or any manufacturer) would support this cartridge. I'd a...

Re: WTB - magazine for Remington (DPMS) 30 RAR

Brian,

I use standard 5.56 pMags in my .30RAR and I've never had a problem. I know you're looking for factory mags, but just thought I'd throw that out there. I LOVE the 30rar! It's a heck of a hunting cartridge.

Re: OLD F.S. & W.T.T. etc.

I prefer old ads NOT be removed. Do mark them "SPF", but don't remove them. Also do not remove the sale price. This helps sellers and buyers judge the current market price for items they are selling or buying.

Sure seems like a nice rifle. I don't mind the stock myself.

Re: Barrel or stock?

The only way I'd be able to get a bullet down the barrel on my SPS is with a hammer and a ramrod.

Volstandigkeit, sounds like yours needed to back to the factory!

Re: Barrel or stock?

I'm trying to understand the "over bore" and how that can affect the heat of the barrel. Flame getting past the bullet? At what point in the chamber (bore) cast are you measuring .206"? The grooves or the lands? It seems like if the barrel were truly over bore and flame was escaping p...

Re: Barrel or stock?

The first thing I did to my SPS was to remove those pads completely. Those SPS stocks are horribly flexible. There are some ways to stiffen the forend. Also, I you are shooting from a bipod or position your rifle in a rest too far towards the front of the stock this will create even more pressure on...

Re: release date on savage17 hornet

Savage posted on their Facebook that they are now shipping the model 25 in .17 Hornet in "great numbers". So if you want one they are now available.
