Re: Savage B Mag in 17 wsm
I was able to get out about a week ago and zero the bmag. It was rather windy but after zero I shot two five shot groups at 100 yards. Both groups could be covered with a quarter. I used winchester 3000 FPS 20 grain bullets. I am sure in warmer more shoote friendly day I can do a bit better? I had n...

Re: My new toy!
Very nice firearm. I havent shot the creedmore but love my 6.5 Grendel! The 6.5 have finally come into the fame they desearve, due to a healthy supply of low drag High bc bullets! Thinks have come a long way from the old 6.5 Jap Arisaka!

Re: Who Said the .22 Hornet Wasn't Accurate?
There are always naysayers, I think most of them just dont have the patience to find the sweet spot. While I do not own a Hornet , I would be proud too. My Neighbor, has one but I cant talk him into parting with it!

Re: Savage B Mag in 17 wsm
Ye ssir, I did see cave dwellers post and I beleive he is correct. However, after tearing this gun down Im curious as to if savage built this in a manner that can handle the pressure of a centerfire velocity round? I bedded the action today and lapped scope rings last night! I am not impressed with ...

Re: Need some suggestions please
I havent shot the ccp but I do have a Walther PK 380 recoil and spring are modest as well . very easy gun to cock. However the slide on my pk 380 is very sloppy, so is accuracy! While it is good enough for concelled carry as most shots are close, it sucks at 25 yards. The smith Bodygaurd 380 at 25 y...

Re: Savage B Mag in 17 wsm
I have my rifle and on further reveiw the horrible bolt close is because the rifle bolt cocks on the downstroke of the bolt! I am reading few pros and many cons. Most that the winchester amo especially 25 grain is very inconsistant. I have not and will not shoot this rifle with the flimsy plastic st...

Re: Savage B Mag in 17 wsm
I just bought a savage b mag in 17 wsm this morning. I also think they feel cheap but anxous to try it. I have heard some excellent reveiws? I did see Savage has a factory self imposed recall on this rifle. It seems with downforce before bolt is in close position it grabs the saftey Mechanisum. They...

Re: Powder's for 45acp
I dont always agree with rick, but he is stearing you straight in my book! I had a serious powder shortage and all I had was some old WAp. Dang good powder though. For practice i started casting my own lead bullets. I couldnt get my hands on any nosler custom comps for 2 years. Available for now tho...

Re: Need some suggestions please
My wife carrys a smith 38 spl in plus p the airweight as well. We did change out to a hogue grip. It offers another finger on the grip and allot more comfort. The factory grip hurt even my big hands! this gun hurt you after a few rounds. you lose a bit of concealment with the Hogue but if it hurts t...
