Re: Hornady 25gn bullets for the .204Ruger

Silverfox, I think the 24/25gn would best be suited for small mammals like rabbits, etc, not sure about foxes though.I've been using Hornady 32gn V-Max with excellent results, best rabbit 416yards,but,mostly stay around the 250 yard mark. I've loaded 20 rounds with Hornady 40gn V-Max,not sure of the re...

Re: Hornady 25gn bullets for the .204Ruger

Copied from the October issue of 'Gun Mart' New From Hornady Hornady has just launched three new items into the UK. First, a 25gn 204 Ruger, which could see this tiny .20cal centrefire zipping along at 4200fps. Second, a 123gn A-MAX load in 6.5 Grendel. Finally, a 90gn 25.06,which we have clocked at ...

Re: Which .204 to buy...CZ-USA or Savage?

This post is late, sorry for that.I've purchased a Cz Varmint in .204 and over the last couple of weeks have been getting used to it.Gradually getting longer and longer shots, best so far,a rabbit at 309 yards,I find that it's deadly accurate, using 32 Hornady V-max over 27 gn H322. IMO I think it's o...

Re: 1st time with my .204

I went out this evening to try for some more rabbits, but the fields were being sprayed with anti-fungal and growth retardant, but decided to stay after the farmer had gone,I didn't expect much and I was right,I saw one rabbit only,so decided to have a shot at it,it dropped instantly from a 32gn V-max...

1st time with my .204

I've had my Cz Varmint .204 since last August, but due to ill health only managed to get out yesterday (Sunday) for the first time.I was out with my shooting buddy Terry after rabbits,we first saw some and the range finder read 183yards,I took the shot and dropped the rabbit, very pleased with that on...
