Introducing... Tarrin!
As many of you already have noticed, the forum has gone through some significant changes. One of the "behind the scenes" changes that has recently taken place is I have handed off most of the administration responsibilities to my son, Tarrin. He was very modest in his "Tell us about y...

You will have to let us know how it shoots. An 18" barrel is a little short for the .204 but other than that, the platform is solid. Keep us informed!

Re: Bullets
I also standardized on the Nosler 40 grainers because they were considerably cheaper than the Sierras. I shoot them in my Ruger 1-12 twist and they shoot great. Really could not tell the difference in accuracy between the Noslers and Sierras so, since the Noslers were cheaper, I loaded up on them.

I like options! I might try some of these in both my .204 and .223! Thanks for keeping us updated Rick.

Burris PEPR is a good product. I mostly use their xtreme tactical rings. They are a high quality product and work very well.

Re: Question regarding free bore
Just an FYI: I am working with a barrel manufacture to get some .204 AR barrels. The barrel that I just tested did not return good results; lower than normal pressure and velocity and I was not impressed with accuracy. The cause? Don't know for sure yet but the reamer manufacture has seen similar re...

Thanks, I've been taking pics for a long time, so have a bunch accumulated. Okay, normally I would not post such a pic, but as most here know me for who I am in my "senior years", I'll share a bit of my evil past with the crew here, but just this once, and just this pic. That is awesome R...

I may have to do this piece by piece as I sell things that don't matter to buy things that do. hunting for a lower right now, that I can afford, LOL!! I have used New Frontier Armory in the past. They are good to deal with. The link takes you to their lowers. The Aero Precision lowers appear to be ...

Re: 204 vrs 223
Compare the two tables below. At all velocities greater than 200 yards, the .204 Ruger has more velocity AND ENERGY than the .223 Remington. Now, you could decrease the bullet weight of the .223 to 40 grains and get a bullet trajectory closer to that of the .204 - but at the expense of energy. If we...
