Results of our Elk hunt!

Well, we made it back. And yes, we were successful! I was given a heads up about an area and at the last minute, changed my mind on where to go. A friend from work told me that his father had been seeing elk in an area that was much closer than the area that I had planned to hunt. So last Friday nig...

Headed out for 5 day elk hunt!

Well, here I go. I will be gone for about 5 days, less if I luck out early. It is just a general elk tag so I am not expecting anything extra-ordinary. Just going to have fun with my dad and 16 year old son. Worst case scenario will be a 5 day camping trip with my rifle and family! :D I'll post resu...

Re: Will you accept the challenge?

Skipper:

Question for you. Will you be scoring by "tightest groups" or "closest to center of target"?

The reason I ask is because I am sighted at an inch high at 100 yards. Should I zero my scope to 100 yards?

Re: Will you accept the challenge?

I say go with the rules we already have. Having said that, I will probably be one of those with the biggest disadvantage. I have a Ruger MKII Ultralight with a standard 3x9 scope. Its only modification is a Timney trigger. It is fairly accurate but I am sure it will not compete with factory varmint ...

Re: Problems with always having to "Login"!

Right JD and Glen. I did make a change to what is called the "cookie path". What that means is that if you use IE, you will need to use "www.204ruger.com/forum" to always stay logged in. It used to be "www.rugerhunting.com" so that may cause some confusion for people. S...

Re: HELP

There are some bugs in the current software which includes the logged-in problem. Hopefully, they will come up with a fix soon.
