Sorry Tony didn't know the background to you're problem. Holy Cr@p I bet you were miffed  will the RFD not replace it for you? Now that I really look at you'r initial question I see my answer didn't that much so I spent a little while looking around the web. Now, I can reload but internal balis...

Re: what powder to use in short barrel?
Hi Tony, Not exactly what you asked but my .204 had a 26" barrel which I had reduced to 23" re-crowned & threaded for a can, accuacy not affected at all just the point of impact changed but a quick zero session sorted that out. I load 39gr SBK, 25.2 gr RE-10x @2.307" COAL with win...

Re: Scales...Whats are we using?
I use a My Weigh Gem Pro 500, very easy to read & accuate cost here in the UK £167.00 including postage. Did have the small RCBS model but during loading the readings would vary & the return to zero was very hit & miss. http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/ee501/markc10/Mag%20conversion/C...

Re: Magazine help wanted!
Hi Boomer, Both my short action Remington 700's are fitted with a detachable magazine system from 'Badger Ordnance' in .204 & 7mm - 08 cal, they make 5 & 10 round magazines. They need inletting into the stock but if your having one built by a gunsmith no problems, its based on a .308 magazin...

Re: Help to improve this load
Thanks for the help, it worked a treat with 25.2gr @ 2.300" COAL.
Will try it over a longer distance next, if only all things in life improved that much after adding .1 of anything!

Thanks for the advice the cases are in the tumbler cleaning as I type, then I'll have to wait until the wind drops before I head to the quarry to test them I'll let you know how it goes.
