Re: Ruger rifle
Who knows what goes on in the marketing department of Ruger Arms. They co-deveoped the 204 with Hornady, and they don' chamber their#1 varmit model for that cartridge . I was lucky enough to find a NIB SS one a couple months ago.

Re: Redding expander ball
Larr, with the bushing neck die,you don't need an expander ball, but if you want to deprime while neck sizing you can, with that set up.I don't put the decaping pin in my 243 Ackley ,neck bushing die,and deprime with a universal cecaping die.Diferent strokes.

Re: Bullet seating with a smile
Joe, the Vickeman seater was the inspiration for the Redding, Forester, and RCBS Comp Seaters. Way ahead of it's time, still in production....which says alot. It appears to be one of those old ideas that really didn't "need" improving....just like the 1911 .45 ACP! ;) Right. It's one of th...

Re: One Scope for three rifles
Great idea, and practical,if you can get it to work for you.I have a set of Warne QD 30mm rings mounted on a Ruger #1 varmit, and I have had it off twice. Both times, the scope neede o be readjusted for POI.On yours, the rail spacing will need to be identicle, for starters, then it will be time spent shoot...

Re: Savage 12 LRPV
Accuracy is excelent, right out of the box, with factory ammo, well under 1/2".I don't see the advantage of a dual port. The left port is handy off the bench (where else would you shoot a 13 1/2lb LRPV).Shooting F class perhaps.

Re: Ear plugs
I've worn the Lee sonics, now Norton, ear plugs that have a alluminum can, with a valve that shuts down loud sharp noise, otherwise provides normal hearing.I found a audiologist that took ear molds, sent them off(?) and they came back with the same type of valves as the Nortons, but the fit is so comfort...

Re: Flash Hole Deburring/Uniforming Tool
Joe , try wearing a pair of thin leather buckskin gloves for the task. Protects your fingers nicely. A better option is to remove the silly wire nut "handle", and chuck the tool up in your power screwdriver. Wear a glove on your shell-holding hand, and you'll blow right through the next b...

Re: Flash Hole Deburring/Uniforming Tool
I recently bought the K&M flash hole deburring tool direct for $12.Their shell holders are cheaper that other suppliers as wel.I processed 500 WW 204 Brass with no problems or sore fingers.Later,I did te same with 500 Rem brass, and still have a scab on my thumb just above the first joint.I aso h...

Re: Savage 204 ruger Fail to Eject
Call Customer service and request a new extractor. Not an uncomon problem. My LRPV just droped the case as soon as it cleared the chamber,The factory didn't fix it when they put on a new bolt head.I installed a new extractor, and .140 detent ball.
