Re: Best recipe for reloading/coyote

Haven't shot a Coyote yet.A friend sent me a box of Hornady 20cal 45gr SP,and just for grins,I loaded five in WW virgin 204r Brass w/26gr of IMR 8208 XBR and 71/2 Rem primer.Rifle is a Rurger K1V Varmint w/1:12 twist.I didn't believe the bullets would stabilize, but the group went into .292.A big sur...

Re: Recommend a neck turning tool, please

Allen ....my vote goes to the Forester trimmer with the outside neck turning attachment installed. I use mine for calibers from .17 to 7mm, and get TIR readings on my rat rifle brass from zero to .0015". I use it alot when forming .17 Mach IV and .20 VarTarg cases, and also for cleaning up dom...

Re: Need powder help

I've shot Varget with good results, but switched to IMR 8208 XBR because it is not temperature sensitive at all.It does produce higer velocities without excessive pressure.Another bonus, is that it is a joy to load. The powder is a small cube.I call it super short stick.LOL.Had a big surprise yesterda...

Re: What caliber other than .204 for vermin?

I have started to look into a .243AI. My only fear is that of getting the standard .243 and the .243AI cartridges mixed up... although I'm one anal dude when it comes to reloading and shooting in general.I No worry.Once e 243 cartridge is fireformed in the Ackley chamber,it won't chamber in a 243 Wi...

Agree. My P13 double stack is big enough.Wonder if that's the same company that makes the single left eject model.

Re: Recommend a neck turning tool, please

I've been turning with a Sinclair 300,(no longer offered),which is difficult to adjust, and I wasted many pieces of brass in the learning phase.I researched the Forster, and along with Rick's recomendation,I called Brad at CRT(Sponsor),and ordered one, that I'll set up for dedicated turning.Mostly 243 ...

Hawke Scope report

I ordered a Hawke,Sidewinder Tactical 6.5-20x42 scope from Brad at CRT a few days ago and it showed up this morning.Perfectt day to sight it in on my K1V Ruger #1.I was looking for more eye relief as I had to crawl the stock with both Leupold and Vortex scopes that I tried, even though I have offset ...

Re: Reloading at the range?

Check out Harrel's measures, and other items that bench rest shooters use.No scale needed, just click up or down, for the powder charge.Harrels also has small clamp on presses as well.Sinclair carries adjustable powder stand clamp ons.Just $$$

I have two vipers. Can't comment on the newer long range scopes. They have great customer service.Buy what you want.If you don't like it,they will make it right.

Re: newbe case lube question

Your concern is spray lube inside the necks.Use a dry lube like motor mica or graphite,to dip the necks, before sizing.I do use the spray lube when FL sizing. It does not cause a problem when dry.
