Re: Finally got my 16 gauge A5!

I been wanting a Browning "Sweet Sixteen" for several decades now, still looking for the one with the Gold Trigger and in great shape. You have a great shotgun there and it just doesn't get any better in an autoloader.

Re: Bear Hunting ??'s

I never called bears of any kind but have indeed hunted and shot several in years gone by! I would be more affraid of calling in a mountain lion on top of you than a bear. You never mentioned what type of bear your going after but it would apply to all species. Bears are smart and often will stalk t...

Re: buffalo

There are a couple of places you can have a fare chase Buff hunt! I myself would opt for the heavier bullet in the 250 grain or the Swift A Frame in the 275 grain bullet. It has great sectional density and will penetrate that buff from stem to stern using your 330 Dakota.

Re: 270WSM or 308?

I personally don't believe so, the 270 WSM is a bit faster but does not shoot the heavier bullet like is available for the .308. Brass for the .270WSM is over twice as much at the stores. In my humble opinion, I think both are a little light for a mature bull elk that will weigh in around the 800 to...

Hello Folks!..............Well I wish I could shed some light on your question Laddy but I am new to the .204 Ruger caliber, it was sometime (months back) ago that I was introduced to this whiz bang caliber and after awhile and folks at my gunclub speaking about it, why I had to have one and see for...

Re: Tell us about yourself...

Hello Folks!.........I must appologize for not getting around to doing this segment but sometime back our PC crash and we lost everything. Re: .204 with Leupold varmint reticle

Maybe I am old school but I just zero my weapon in at a said yardage such as 200 for the .204 Ruger and keep my card on the outside stock for refference. I don't shoot over 300 yards with that .204 of mine any way and the 250 and 300 settings are plan for me to read and whats more important fast. If...

Re: Muzzle Brake for 7mm WSM

Also something that many rifles owners don't think about at the time they wish to have a Muzzle Brake installed are simply this, YOU will NOT fire this rifle from a prone position and like it, dust, rocks and other debris will come back into your face.

Re: .204 ruger on a deer?

I have been asked many times over the last 45 years of hunting, what I thought was the smallest caliber that should be used to hunt whitetail deer during the season with by hunters. I have stated that in my humble opinion, it is the .243 Winchester with a 100 grain bullet! I'll stick to my guns on t...

Re: Leupold customer service

I sent a rifle scope once to Leupold (VX-3 in 3 x 9) It was damaged in a vehicile accident my PH and I just happened to be involved in, while in Africa. The tube of the scope was bent badly and the adj knob on the side was no longer there. I called Leupold and told them what happened when I got back...

Re: Home Varmint Defense

Rick thank you sir for the welcome!!! Now to be honest about the whole thing, I most likely would never have purchased a GLOCK for myself. I been turning up my nose at them for over 25 years or more. I am far to traditional going back to my very first Gold Cup and later 2 model 70 series that I purc...

Re: Summer Snake Medicine

Hello Rick, I got a phone call this morning from the man you told me to call and he advised what to do with my Glock. He stated it may not cycle all the time with those shot shells but something I would be fine in testing out with the Glock. This makes me feel real good about trying those shotshells...
