To the naked eye the hornady 45 gr softpoint appears to have a shorter bearing surface than the 40 gr vmax
I shoot the 45 gr softpoint as I tried it my gun liked it and it does what I want it to do now the berger may or may not have the same results without looking at one it is hard to say

enter all your info in the link below and when the data pops up the very bottom shows your adjustment in moa remember 1 moa is 4 clicks I am pretty sure this is how it works may not be dead on but it should get you close

I dont care how light or heavy I load my 204 all the primers do it factory loads too. I cant understand why but they arent flat so I am not really worried
