Re: Favorite Loads
Hi brooksb, I used BL-C(2) with 32gr SBKs with great success in my Savage 12V when it still had the original barrel.

Glad to hear you figured it out. I've not heard too many bad things about Howa and their shooting accuracy.

Re: pac-nor.204 match chamber
(I'm sure you're aware of all this......the above is mainly for the OP :D ) Actually, as usual, I learned something new here. I know the freebore was different, that was pretty obvious. I didn't know they were using different neck diameter reamers though. As always, great information and insight. T...

Re: pac-nor.204 match chamber
I have a "Match Chamber" in my Pac-Nor Savage prefit. I can seat the 32gr bullets easily in the lands and still have plenty of bullet in the throat. I don't know which of the different versions that Rick referenced I have, but it is a much easier chamber to reload for vs. a standard long t...

Re: Primers
Here's a good reference link for comparing the physical attributes of primers.
http://www.jamescalhoon.com/primers_and_pressure.php
I don't know if the data has changed at all but at least gives you an idea of where different primers compare to each other.

Looks like quantities are starting to come back. I've seen a lot more IN STOCK powders than out. That's a good thing!

Re: Howa 1500 accuracy issues!
I don't hear too often that there is a poor shooting Howa so I'm a bit surprised.
Have you ladder tested and if so, do the groups open and close up at all or all pretty much look the same?

My experience is only with Vortex Vipers and I have been very happy with them. For the money I like their glass and have used them for target and varmints with great results.

Re: What parts are you running?
Thank you for all the information and feedback. Again, entirely new to this process. I have 3 Spikes receivers and I'm just trying to figure out what I want to do with them. My buddy has 2 RRAs and I have shot them both. Excellent firearms! I wanted to go through the experience of building one thoug...

What parts are you running?
In the process of building a couple of ARs and was looking for some advice from the varminting crowd on what they have done for their AR builds. I've been told PSA makes a great LPK for the money and that Geissele triggers are the cat's meow. Do you recommend building an upper or buying a complete u...
