Re: remington 7 1/2 primers ?
not 7 1/2 BR Magnum , you are correct , it says br only . edit ; i just went down and dug out some old reloading notes and the primer box . i made a note and where i got the info from is hard to tell back then . but my notes say that this primer has the burn rate of a magnum primer and to use with b...

remington 7 1/2 primers ?
i ran out of my remington 7 1/2 primers and they are older and they were marked magnum . i go today and tell the nice man at the gun shop that i would like some 7 1/2 magnum primers and he hands me 7 1/2 bench rest . i look at him and asked if they don't have small rifle remington magnum primers . h...

Re: shooting bench

bedding a savage / suggestions please
after taking my savage FV model out of the stock and inspecting where the glass beddding would be on an after market stock and especially around the rear stock bolt and how close it is to the trigger assembly i assume most people either tape it up or take it out . i did some research over on savage ...

Re: stockys gunstocks
just out of curiosity i called stockys and asked them who manufactured the laminate stocks on their home page . the nice young lady told me that it was s&k stock co. , recently aquired by remington arms . i told her i was having a hard time finding feed back on these . she said its one of their ...

Re: i bought the red headed step child
I have a Savage on the way. Don't really understand what's so ugly about them. "Pretty" is about the last thing on my list when purchasing any firearm, and the accuracy reputation precedes the Savage. So much I could say about the decline of Winchester and Remington, but I think anyone he...

stockys gunstocks
has anyone tried one of their laminated stocks ? supposedly you take out the pillars in the stock from savage and they insert ( epoxyed in ) into stockys with the end result is a free floated and pillar bedded . they are good looking stocks and this will probably be the way i go . so if any of you h...

i've kinda made up my mind to get my 204 in a savage fv . but i read that the stock just isn't stable enough and it flexes . so i started to research stocks and ended up at stockys gunstocks , looking at some mighty pretty laminated stocks and 200 dollars more ( are these drop in or do you have to d...
