Mike the Alliant manaual lists 22 gns for 2974fps at 52300psi for a sierra 55gn spitzer as a maximum charge.

I picked up the sps which will be the donor action and the rough cut stock during the week. I will deliver them to the gunsmith next week. gunut, my first test loads used win small rifle primers. At starting loads the firing pin crater looked deep and sacry. i now use the Rem 7 1/2 as advised on the board and have not had this issue again.

I have shot a fox side on where the projie hit the spine and the resultant violent expansion looked like someone had come down on him with a chainsaw from above.
