Re: 1137 km road trip, some guns involved!

glad you liked it guys. I wont be 204less too much longer. I was having a semi custom built on a trued Rem action. Just as the barrel cleared customs I changed my mind to go to a Stiller Predator, full custom. That has to be imported, hence the wait. The only problem was I had sold my trusty VT 204 ...

having a bummer of a time getting a synthetic after market stock for a CZ 527. Have found one guy prepared to post to Oz, MPI stocks.

Anyone used there product or know someone who has so I can buy with confidence?

They are in Oregon, do you know them Rick?

Skipper the predator action is a repeater. I am building a spotlighting rifle. I am also doubling it up as an accurate bench rifle. I am thinking of a synthetic thumbhole with a wide flat fore end. If i cant get one I might go laminate or forget about the thumbhole idea and just get an HS or Mcmilla...

the smith says the local barrel makers can make a top product but he thinks their consistency has slipped! My bushing dies arrive from Sinclair this week. He wants some dummies to cut the neck thickness and throat to suit my rounds. He has the barrel, I havent seen it yet! He has my stock to do the ...

Impressive shooting. I've just been convinced to enter a 300 yd Fly comp, and I have no 204 at the moment! But glad to hear the Norma brass is worth it. Just finishing uniforming the pockets on some 22/250 before necking up for my 6/250 and will then get on to the 200 204 cases in anticipation of th...

Thanks Rick. Quite a lot of feedback on several forums. It seems that if you want to use the 25 Vmax then 1 in nine is best option. Havent seen one as yet but guessing its long for calibre as users with standard hollowpoint ammo were happy with 1 in 10. I ordered the 1 in 9 just to be sure and it wi...

I use Rem brass and am very happy how it has gone. Am having a semi custom 204 built and thought the Lilja might be fed with Norma. Anyone who has tried Norma is welcome to tell me to save the money and keep buying Rem if that was their experience. I dont like Win brass from experience with poor qua...
