Fred were do you find those at . Would a place like Midwayusa or mid south have them who makes them. I am nowhere near a gunsmith of that sorts i just know my scope doesnt set right in the rings. lapping rings
This is not a stupid question because i asked it stupid is when you dont ask.I have heard guys talk about lapping the rings. How do you do it and what does it correct i am guessing it for perfect alingmet?
The reseson i am asking is on a rifle i own the rear ring loop is off a little.

Remy i didnt metion mine is a target model i dont think it would make a good carry gun a little to heavy for that .

Well to sweetn up the deal even more the previous owner of the ruger dropped off a set of rcbs fl dies and some brass i couldnt even get him to take any money for the dies

Actually RIO in our area we dont have many of those critters :( .A few g-hogs are seen every once in a while but scatter at first site.I think Melvin elimated them all years ago :lol: other than that we have tree rats and water rats. As far as big game all we have are whitetail deer cant even shoot ...

Have you looked at the savage lines and cz s Both are shooting very acurate out of the box a little over $500. can get you a cz 527 varmint or american with a set trigger A little bit $ or less will get you a savage both are good shooters Savage has the accue trigger witch is very easy to adjust.
