Re: 12 BTCSS Savage
I also have a BGTVS, same thing just dif color like other guy said. Nice rifle, but the crown was HORRID when I got it. Called Savage and they made it right - shipping and all was free of charge. I think it took about two or three weeks to get it back. Shoots well enough and the stock feels perfect ...

Subsonic 243
Anyone loaded any subsonic rounds for 243 using trailboss with 105 a-max? If so, can I have your data? Thanks in advance.

Re: Remington triggers
Install a jewell !!! Thanks for your indispensable contribution to this thread. Rick, It actually turned out to be the sear engagement screw that affects the creep. I did in fact mess with it, almost got all the creep out. However, I did reach a point where further reducing the creep made it unsafe...

Remington triggers
Hola, I have a 700 BDL 30-06 and thought the trigger pull was a bit much so adjusted it following directions on this page: http://www.quarterbore.com/library/articles/rem700trigger.html This definitely lowered the pull considerably but the trigger has quite a bit of travel before releasing the pin. ...

39 Blitzkings
Looking to start searching for a load for these bullets. I have Varget and Benchmark powders to use with Hornady brass and CCI primers. Searched around a bit though other people's 'pet loads' and figure these as start/max loads for each. Looking for some feedback (or preferably someone out there wit...

Leupold® Quick Release Rings - 1" High
Bought a set of these rings accidentally thinking they were the STD while in St Louis over the weekend. Do not want to drive 4 hours to exchange them. I paid $37 for them. Part number 49979 can be seen on http://www.leupold.com/hunting-and-shooting/products/mounting-systems-and-accessories/mounting-...

Re: Savage Bolt Question
Well if my allen wrench is 6 inches long, I have to put 30 pounds of force on it to get 15 ft/pounds. That is pretty hard to be pushing on a little wrench - hands don't like it!

Re: Savage Bolt Question
acloco: Yes this fixed the problem. Thanks a bunch for your help. It felt more like the wrench was going to be the point of failure while muscling it. Coverdog: That is peculiar that the same damage was present on both of our rifles - mine is a bgtvss too. Have yet to fire this bad boy - waiting on ...

Re: Savage Bolt Question
Don't know yet, I have to get a three foot length of lead pipe to get some leverage on my allen wrench. I'll let you know how it turns out.acloco wrote: LOL! Yes!
I torque mine to 15 ft lbs.
Was this the issue???

Re: Savage Bolt Question
How much torque is enough when tightening this bolt down? 1/4 turn from shearing off or what?

Savage Bolt Question
Hello all, I have a Savage 12BGTVS in 204. There was damage to the crown/muzzle when I received the rifle and sent it back to Savage for repairs - fast, easy process. However, once it returned, I noticed the bolt was a bit 'loose' on it. By loose, I mean I can put my finger on the side of the bolt a...

Thanks for the input. The lee ns die seems to work fine on the two sets I already have. Just wanting some input/suggestions on other products.

Neck Sizer
I am new to reloading and currently have Lee dies for 243 and 30-06. Both sets include FL and neck sizers. I am interested in getting dies for my 204 and am a bit overwhelmed by the choices out there. Don't want to spend much more than $50 and want FL, neck, and seating dies. Is there a 'better' cho...

Re: My primers are coming!! My primers are coming
Picked up some CCI large and small rifle this weekend from Nashville Basspro. They even had a fair amount of powder and brass.
