Re: Ground hogs in WV

Good job!! 'And thanks for including your rifle in the pic, very nice.

The little villians are just starting to show themselves here in commie liberal land (NY). Finally getting some warm weather and green veg!

Can't wait to blow some of 'em home to the judgement, LOL!!!

Re: Lost My Shooting Buddy

Looks like lots of us have been there too...

Hey, maybe if you go to your shooting place you'll be the kind of buddy to someone new that your friend that passed was to you. Treasure waiting to be discovered maybe...

Re: 20 cal bullet pullers

I had a Forster puller, and went back to the Inertia style.

Just pretend its Gov's Cuomo's face your smacking with your little green hammer, and you will turn a slightly tedious task into fun that the whole family can enjoy!!

Re: IMR4064 powder

YES!! My Savage 12 VLP did fantastic with it. I guess its the "wrong" powder to use, but it was all that was available at the time (2009) from my local shop. I could expect 5-shots to place at 0.5" (often hit 0.3") shooting off crappy bags with: 26.5 gn of 4064 2.28" OAL Hor...

Re: current custom builds

Valar, Sorry about the late reply.. that's a JP Grendel barrel. just a word about that... They have a really weird contour; very fat at the receicver, then quite skinny before the gas block, then fat again. In the skinny area, you install a huge heat sink, its like the fins on your motorcycle engine...

Re: best bullet gr for groundhogs

The 32 SBK is plenty for killing, but A agree with ryutzy on a big thing there... they may still make it to the hole. I was 3/3 the last time out, and one was face-first almost down the hole. all were whots in the 250 yd range. If you don't head or neck e'm, they may live 10 seconds and scoot down t...
