Re: 6BR build
You mean, "good dust" as in stuff is flying off the shelves, or "bad dust" as in, we are letting the NY business fade away as we build up in PA?

Re: Lee collet dies and rcbs x-die
Any neck sizing I do, I use Lee Collet. 6.5x55. 6.5 Grendel, 6.5-284, .204 Ruger and .223. That said, for some rifles I also bump the shoulder back with a body die every time. Some only infrequently. 'Buit for the neck, its the LCD. I like the way that I can feel the neck drag on the mandrel if the ...

Re: nosler brass & 20vt has me stumped
Aye... I've been bitten by the doughnut louse in times past, has caused sorrows. Beware! I've used the K&M cutter for that, it works extremely well. Just be sure to start it into the neck turning CCW, then you can go ahead and turn CW, it will be smooth sailing. Otherwise, its not fun at all. Th...

Re: Curse those Fins and their superior powder-making abilit
Such problems we have, lol!
But some are worth the pain, LOL!!! I'd do $40 a crack for 0.2!! you may find that you spend more $ by searching powders/recipes than just buying what works so well.
But its still fun!!!

Very much prefer the brethren here. Nice blokes! I enjoy the folks at Saubier also. Nice bunch there too. I do a lot of listening there, so far haven't contributed… Yes, some of the folks at Accurateshooter can get a tad… shall we say… too far away from their medication. Sone great intel there though.

Americans!! That's the one big problem with the USA, LOL!!
As my Dad used to say (WWII Vet, went in at Normandy, fought at the Bulge, and all the way up to Germany), "The world would be a great place if it wasn't for people"

Re: Pics of .204 AR's
BEAUTIFUL rig RIO! Here in liberal whack-job land (NY) we are not supposed to have anything that looks SCARY!! LOL!!
Hmmm.. I'm intrigued by the field case. Does that (intentionally) double as a shooting mat? I'm getting kinda sick laying on a piece of gore tex and a bug out bag...

Re: New rifle
If I had to do it all over again, I'd: Buy a savage or stevens action Put a Shilen, Kreiger, McGowen etc. barrel on it. Get a decent stock and bed it myself. Since I only kill 'chuck and such, which means shooting maybe 1x every 1/2 hour, I would NOT go bull barrel again. That said, I had a Savage V...

Re: 204 AR Build Question
Smash, if you havn't bought the barrel already, you will find that some of the barrel suppliers (JP, Shilen) will include a matched BCG, and the extra cost is almost nill compared to other suppliers that do not provide a (matched ) BCG. Also, remember you can't adjust the headspace in the barrel-ins...
