They probably just look at other supplier's sales #s and other such indicators (like .204 rifle sales, etc) and wait till it hits some magic mark

2.334" for a Savage VLP (bolt) and I did mess around with seating but couldn't shrink groups w/ it. Not sure how I ended up @ 2.334??... but I had great groups. As I recall I couldn't reach the lands... 2.245" in a RRA AR-15, but that's where I just set my seating die 'cuz they fit the mag...

40 Bergers did very nicely for me! I have the recepie here in the "favorite loads" thread. They shot well out of both of my 1:12 rifles. I only shoot bipod and rear bag, and could expect 0.5" 5-shot groups, that would come down to 0.3" when I was shooting well. I should also say ...
