Lead Free Bullets
I'm getting ready to load some .204 and .223 this weekend and because we're going to be in the "Condor Zone" I have to use the lead free bullets. I notice the equivalent weight bullet in lead free is much longer than the lead projectile. I know it requires more material to give the s...

Re: Wilson Case Trimmer operation question
Only did one case, I'm dumb, not stupid  Thanks for the reply, I was just checking the reamer out, not running a full batch. The question in my mind is if the reamer opens the case so large that the bullet falls thru, what's the purpose of the reamer? Use the reamer before sizing? That doesn't...

Re: Wilson Case Trimmer operation question
Okay, the L.E. Wilson trimmer is here, set up for .204 and I trimmed the first case. Very nice, simple to figure out and adjust. On the same case I tried out the inside neck reamer. My Hornady 32gr. VMax bullet falls in! Where'd I go wrong? Cases are neck sized only, once fired Winchester.

Re: Kalifornia Does it Again!
Please be careful with the blanket condemnation of Kalifornia citizens. Some of us are in our right minds and fought this from the word go. Unfortunately, there's a huge percentage of "I Want Mine" voters without the common sense to be responsible voters, and that's a bad combo. And anothe...

Re: new guy with questions
I just measured the barrels on a Rem VLS and SPS and their basically the same diameter. The VLS is .308 and the SPS is .204. Another 2cents worth!

Late Summer Ranch Trip
I should apologize for taking so long to post these but there it is! Been a rough stretch with other concerns taking priority. Now on to the show! A friend of mine has a ranch in the mountains between Lake Isabella and Bakersfield CA. I try to get up there as often as possible and he likes the roden...

Wilson Case Trimmer operation question
Need to buy a new trimmer. I've been using Lee's trimmer for 20+ yrs and have always been satisfied with the results. Unfortunately, Lee doesn't make a case length gage for 204 Ruger. So now I'm looking at Wilsons Trimmer. My question is how is the case that's in the holder prevented from spinning w...

re:Tell us about yourself...
Been lurking for a month or so, figured it's time to step up and say hello. My name's Don Saltus. I'm a 52yr old general contractor "living" in Southern Kalifornia. I've been shooting for 34 years and reloading for 28. Most of the shooting has been target and varmint, though not the type o...
