Same barrel as your looking at. No problems with any of the bullets you mentioned, absolute tack driver. My son has same barrel on ar and no problems either.

Re: remington 700 vtr .204 recoil
My son has a VTR and the recoil isn't bad at all. I would have to agree with RAMOS, it really is an ear ringer.

Re: Stainless Steel Media
I went down this road a number of months ago..and in my option it's the best there is! It does take a bit more time, and make sure to use the Lemi-shine. I have tried cleaning with both the high rpm motor and the low rpm motor and just takes a bit more time with the low speed. I have tried cleaning ...

Re: anyone reload for fast-twist barrels?
Same barrel as both my son and I have. Sad part is both our guns shoot different so have to compromise a bit on loads.

Re: Montana Trip
Sad part about it is that it was more than likely someone from outside Montana that bought it because it was so wonderful, but now wants to lock it up and not share like the old owners. We tend to see a lot of that here in Montana. I had a lot of places that I shot on when I was a kid but now the ne...

Re: AR BOLT CARRIER EXPLOSION
Looks like the bolt somehow got jammed and pressure from the gas tube ripped the top of the bolt carrier off. OUCH. Very lucky the charge handle didn't blast you in the face. Also be careful using Vihtavuori powders, Their a single base powder and lack the slippery coating. I've found it to frequen...

Re: AR BOLT CARRIER EXPLOSION
Unless the bolt carrier and bolt just fractured from fatigue, that had to be a considerable pressure spike...The powder is not excessively hot in itself (very comparable to W-748) and unless there was somehow a compressed, or over loaded on just that round. I can see three distinct fractures on the...

Re: AR BOLT CARRIER EXPLOSION
Remington cases (shot 4 times), 34 grain Varmint nightmare, 25.1 gr N135 Vihtavuori. Adjustable gas block turned off (single shot mode). Bolt was closed (no slam fire) when shot.

AR BOLT CARRIER EXPLOSION
Has anyone seen this type of failure before?
The bolt is still locked so was not fired out of battery.

Re: New to .204 Ruger
My son and I both have custom ar's 1:10 twist.
For punching paper and 100-200 yards have been using the 34 g Midsouth varmit nightmares
using reloader 10x or Vihtavuori N135. Am able to get groups covered by a dime. At $39.95 per 500 ya can't go wrong.
