Re: JB Bore Paste
Bore Tech Eliminator will help keep copper fouling down once you have the barrels clean. BT Eliminator is doing a better job of removing copper in my bores than Extreme 50BMG if you can believe that............smells much better too. Best route to go is the electronic bore cleaners for stubborn &quo...

WTS: M1S 204Ruger SOLD
M1S has the 24" stainless fluted barrel. I've added a YHM 1/2" riser to the A3 receiver and a Harris 6-9" bipod. D-T Lower has the JP Enterprise springs on hammer/trigger. Stock is the Magpul PRS. I can throw in a set of 30mm Millet windage adjustable rings. I' had to send the Crossfi...

Re: Two close and one away
Also check to see that your barrel and tang is floated. If not already glass bedded, I would recommend doing it, it could very well eliminate your flyer. I bed all my Savage builds and never have problems with flyers (as long as the handloads are put together with care). Measure your bullets from ba...

Great scopes and the "no BS" warranty transfers to the new owner. I have the Viper and it's "the bomb".

Re: Magazine for AR
Old post but I'll respond anyway...............a 10 round C Products has been a solid performer in my 204 AR along with 20 round Magpuls. I can seat a bit longer with the C Product than I can with the Magpul.

Re: 204 Ruger Loads in the AR
I measure all my bullets from base to ogive when loading for my bolt action bench rifles. The differences in lengths is astounding! I do the same for the AR. I did finally narrow down my accuracy problems to the Vortex 8X32X50AO scope. It finally crapped out and wouldn't hold a zero along with the A...

Re: 204 Ruger Loads in the AR
Ive got an M1 1:12 twist barrel. I shoot 27.8 of H4895 with the 39 SBK seated at 2.254 currently. I've shot groups as small as .392 but I've been getting some flyers occasionally so I've got the gun at a custom gun maker to give my AR a thorough going over. Sooner or later I will just change it to ...

204 Ruger Loads in the AR
Everything I find relates to bolt guns, not a lot of data for the AR. I checked my OAL to the lands with the 30 gr Berger, Nosler 40 gr B.T. and 39 gr SBK. I can't even reach the lands with the Berger, 39gr SBK reads 2.070" and the Nosler was 2.060" Only load I've tried to date (other than...

Re: Favorite Loads
The fastest powders for my gun are H4895 and XBR 8208. Both yielded about equal speeds with accuracy. I shoot them as fast as I safely and accurately can. I'm shooting an AR so I lose a lota speed. I'm at 3700 with H4895 with the 39 SBK. In a bolt gun I believe people have topped 3900 fps with eith...

Re: So Confused On Neck Sizing My 204 Round!
GaCop, how much shoulder bump are you trying to achieve when you full-length size each time? I try for at least .002" for a bolt action. I also use a small base die in 223 Rem. I'm just getting started with the 204 and am still waiting for my Forster dies to get here. I've loaded thousands of ...

A good 6.5X20 with adjustable objective would work fine. Take a look at the Vortex Viper, good quality for the money and their warranty really is no "BS".

+1 on the Zee rings. The inserts allow windage/elevation adjustment w/o using up internal adjustment.
