502 yards lazered with the lecia on a Pa groundhog, Howa 204 ruger, vx3 8.5x25 25.1 rl 10x 39 blitzking. It was a calm evening when i made the shot, I have missed many more by inches fighting the wind.

Head shots can be explosive with 39 blitzkings. I do some groundhog hunting with a 260 with 95 grn v-max and 123grn a-max's those can get messy.

I havnt posted much this year due to being pretty buisy, I took over 100 groundhogs this year mostly with the 204. It wasnt my best year, but at long as i reach 100 im happy. longest shot was 420 yards. :D . My 204 is a Howa heavy barreled action bedded into a b&C stock with vx3 8.5x25 vh reticl...

Another option would be to get a new howa barreled action for 300 some bucks. Mine shoots as good if not better than my buddys sub moa varmint.

So is it safe to say i can bump my neck sized loads up a few tenths to match my FL sized loads, that is if accuracy stays good. Im shooting 25.1 reloader 10x and 39 sbk with no pressure signs. I have alot of time in calibrating my varmint hunters reticle with the fl sized loads, I would like to get ...

I worked up some neck sized loads and while group size is still great they seem to hit around 3/4 inch lower than the full length sized loads, same powder charge same primers ect. is this the norm?

Has anybody tried the new 204 venture 1-10 twist ?

My howa shoots best with a cartridge overall length of 2.265, yours may be different though.

Now that i bedded it i really like it, it wasnt consistant with just the bedding block. The stocks that come on the weatherby sub moa varmint are avalible as well, and if i had it to do over i would bye one of those, my cousin has one and its more comfortable to me than my stock.

I shot these two 500 yard groups yesterday from my Howa 204 from bipods with a bag under the rear of the gun, It was fairly calm for the first group, for the second group the wind picked up and i was using slightly differerent hold off for each shot.
