Berger recommends 1 in 7 twist.Suggest you go to their site before you buy bullets,from info i,ve seen ya need 1in 8 or 1 in 9 for 50 grainers,they discontinued them.

here are some photos 204 ruger,40 grain v-max at 1/2 mile plus.on 5-29-18 shot 1'st group at 1000 yards On 6-4 almost a great group.On 6-13 pulled 1 6-20, 5 shots ,3 criterion,2 krieger. On 6-22 - 1'st 4 shots from krieger,windy;Notice even though group was spread out ,height was under 1/2 MOA.
