130gr bullets on deer
So what does everyone think of using 130gr barnes TTSX bullets on northern minnesota whitetail? I shoot a remington 700 30-06, i would say my shots are all under 400 yards. My thoughts are that since barnes bullets retain their weight so well i am able to drop down in grains. Just wanted to see what...

thanks a lot rafter!!! i can finally work some loads up. you have any idea if the tipped tsx's would be any different charge wise? i cant wait to see how these shoot. thanks once again.

hey rick,
did you ever get that barnes manual? i looked at it today and didnt see the ttsx bullets in there. is there any way you could post a picture of the data for the 130gr tsx's? they would use the same data correct?

Any suggestions on a good AR trigger? I know midway is out of stock on most of theirs, any other places to check? also what kinda poundage would you suggest, i am thinkin 2-3.

well i was to actually shoot a deer within the next month, you would have to catch me doing it. I mean come on what if i shot a nice mature doe. i mean hamburger is darn expensive these days. i am just trying to live off the land, you know like that show "off the grid".

I am going to try some tipped TSX barnes bullets this year for deer. Does anyone have some load data for this? i cant remember what power i have but i think i have some reloader 15 and some 4895 cant remember for sure though.

I have a vlss thumbhole and i love it. i free floated the barrel and the got it shooting under a half inch without much effort. i am certain i can get it to shoot smaller groups easy. the trigger was easy to adjust. one of the major issues is that it is a heavy gun. it get heavy after a day of walki...

well went out to the range today and got decent results. i ended up with a .454 inch group, that was the best of my pressure series. i am hoping to get it tighter yet and should be able to. thanks for the help again guys.

Well i got it finally, it seemed like i had to sand forever. thanks for all the help. going to the range on thursday to shoot. i got a pressure series worked up for with some 32gr v maxes and benchmark. Hopefully it likes it. thanks once again

I have sanded down the pressure point that is in the forearm of the stock, but it seems that it has created a not so much free floating situation.
