Am I not doing enough?
I am finding I am not doing what I need to when I reload. I have always reloaded to save money, only a few years now, and not for the purpose of gaining extreme accuracy. With hunting rifles 1" - 1.5" groups suffice. Little tall and fuzzy's don't care if you hit them one inch to he right o...

Competition dies or not / Sizing Nosler Brass
I was wondering about the two items listed above. First question is; are the competition full length sizing dies worth the extra money? :chin: I bought a set of standard RCBS dies for $27.00. The competition dies are close to $100.00 are they worth the extra money? I have always sized and trimmed ne...

Re: How many grains make a diff?
Frank, I have been doing some surfing on the net and agree with you. I will start with either 24.5 or 25 and work my way up to 26.6 with .2 grain increments. Looking for pressure issues each step.

Re: How many grains make a diff?
I am shooting a Savage VLP DBM. 26" Fluted Bull Barrel. I have never encountered primer issues on any other load, other calibers. I will watch thme closely. Pretty much I will look for anything other then what they should look like. Thanks for the advise. I'll take all I can get. I am using Win...

Re: How many grains make a diff?
I noticed the loading data form Hodgdon for the Berger 35 grain bullet is diff. then the data given to me from Berger Bullets. Berger reccomends 21.5 - 25.5. Hodgdon reccomends 25-26.6? This is for the same bullet? I had this happen before with the 300 RUM and Barnes MRX bullets. They reccomended a ...

Re: Scales not the same?
Wrangler John, Thanks for your answer. Of course it made my brain itch trying to read it, little deep end of the pool for me
I figure as long as it is consistant that is just as improtant. As has been previousely stated, .1 grain don't make a world of diff. Thanks again for everyones input.

How many grains make a diff?
I would like some opinions on coming up with some test loads for the 204. I am using benchmark with CCI 400 primers, already hard not a good choice I wil have to watch closely, and 35 Grain Berger. The load data from berger is, 21.5 - 25.5 how much change should I use between loads? For example shou...

Primers
What primers whould I be using to load the 204? I have a few hundred small rifle CCI primers however, I have noticed many sites indicating to use magnum primers. Is the magnum primer needed or reccomended? ![chin :chin:](./images/smilies/chin.gif)

Re: Breaking in a Barrel???
The way I understand it, barrel break in is due to small imperfections in the barrel that were left during manufacturing. This is with every new barrel custom or not. When you first shoot your new rifle these small imperfections "catch" the bullet and hold parts of it causing a significant...

Re: The journey is nearing an end!!!!
I am sorry to hear all the trouble you folks have had with Remington. I am happy though, that you posted it. This forum was the last notch in the Remington demise with me. Today I picked up me new Savage VLP DBM in 204 Ruger. I should be able to get out next week to for a test drive. I have never ow...
